Has anyone played or found a decent review on the t78? I've googled but not getting much info. Is it any good?

I like it, The reload seems a bit long, at 7 seconds, but I'm used to the E 25 :teethhappy:

Kinda looks like a slower hellcat with marginally better dpm and worse gun stats. Possibly the tier 5 you could get for free kicks its [edited]even though it's a tier lower...

Looks like a slower hellcat (less top speed, about the same acceleration), with less dispersion but worse aim time.

Same gun, and a bit more dpm than the hellcat. It has a nice big mantlet though, which might save you sometimes. Less apcr pen than the bellcat (by 22), but still nice (@221).

I'll probably get it, it looks sexy and I love the t67.

Comparable to the tech tree tanks, does nothing exceptional on paper, the T34-85M looks better value for money

Plenty Go-kart tanks at tier 6, CromwellB Type64 etc

240 alpha handy when up against tier 8s and RASHA tanks

A Hellcat/Jackson hybrid. So if you don't mind playing those tanks then this one shouldn't bother you either. And you don't have to wait as long for the turret to turn around, so that's a plus.

I think I have

1 - enough low tier premiums

2 - US td crew trainers

3 - Similar tanks (Sirocco)

It's looking pretty good. I've played the Hellcat recently and currently the T25/2. It seems comparable, but the gun stats are a bit worse, so harder to take snap shots I guess. Decent damage per shot and nice view range.

Not been impressed with the few I've seen so far. It seems to be in between the Hellcat and Jackson on most stats. It has more HP, same AP pen and alpha. But way more aim time, less DPM, less gold pen. Mobility and camo is right between the Jackson and Hellcat. But considering how the Hellcat is in the current meta. I kinda got turned off by a worse Hellcat on paper alone.

had the same. Played a few battles with AP but those shells a freaking slow. So upgraded the ammo to Dinger quality.

Bothersome bugger. But not as annoying as hellcat, and not as resilient as slugger.

A review from an NA unicum;

"I like it. 370 VR and more camo than the Type 64. Reload gets to 6.7 with food and BiA. I use binos, rammer and optics right now, but a gld would be valid. Shells speed is acceptable. The smallness is really nice for getting into corners and poking behind small bushes. 508 VR with binos right now. With recon training it might have enough VR to use optics only but as a turreted TD you keep binos up lots. Like the Hellcat it's a bush ambusher not a medium but current tier 6 mm means you're fighting 7s or 6s where 221 pen is enough. It moves like an old LT before the across the board hp/t buffs".

Wait. Ppl are saying that WG actually released a BALANCED (not OP nor UP) tank??

Is the dev team that worked on this tank the same that is working on the British LTs? If not, can we please have this dev team replace the one that is working on the UK LTs???

https://tanks.gg/compare/t78?t=hellcat%7Eachilles%7Em10-rbfm

Both the tier 6 and tier 5 are open top delicate sniper tanks so it would be rare for these two to ever really both see each other during battle to duke it out in a 1 vs 1 scenario and in most cases will be a case of 1 snipes the other. Even in some 1 vs 1 end game finale the winner would be more decided by who has the better map control location and ultimately who cracks and decides to try and make something happen since both TD's would be near impossible to spot on a open map once they are properly located in a bush overseeing large sections and approaches of the map so ya, would just be a case of which player cracks first, gets bored first and tries to force something in which case they will most likely get spotted and killed.

On a city map or some scenario where both these tanks end up in a 1 vs 1 scrap, the T78 would hold the upper hand and most likely likely win 9/10 all things even. The simple fact that the T78 has 600 hp and shoots for 240 alpha while the RBFM has only 360 hp and hits for a lame 115 alpha albeit with a fast firing gun. So they would both engage already loaded which means the T78 immediately knocks 240 hp off the RBFM and would put it to sleep in just 2 shots even with bad low rolls while the RBFM would need to hit the T78 6 times to kill it so all things even, it's not looking very good for the RBFM in a scrap. For flexibility you'd also have to give it to the T78 which boasts a greater top speed and most importantly significantly better mobility in terms of acceleration with a p/w ratio of 22 compared to the RBFM 14, both have the same ground resistances. So what that means is the T78 can get around the map much quicker and if they were in a race against each other from the spawn of their own cap, the T78 gets to "that bush" much faster and therefore already flooding the map with his binos view range and has already spotted targets etc long before the RBFM does. That in itself can almost instantly take map control and win a battle.
