I have read somewhere that Call for Vengeance don't give you any spotting assistance, but that skill seems to be the least useless to me.

BiA, Situational Awareness, Repairs and Camo take you up to 4 skills, Fire Fighting for 5 then whatever else is meh for a radio operator I guess.

Yeah, the famous decision of how to pick up the least bad from many bad choices. :(

So your RO already has repairs, firefighting, BiA and cammo?

Considering that Signal Boosting and Relaying are useless (unless you are playing T1) I would pick CfV.

I wish you could halt the training on the radio operator, train your commander or other crew rather then spending the crew xp on these useful radio operator "perks".

CfV is not that bad. It can net you some assistance dmg sometimes. Relaying and signal boosting are useless though.

Is it confirmed that you gain assistance with CfV?

By the time my radio operators are on their 4th skill, I generally retrain them to be commanders [1] of a new crew; then I quickly start up a new radio operator by copious use of crew xp personal reserves and accelerated crew training. :teethhappy:

[1] or something else. I currently have two Soviet HT radio operators that will become my T54 Lightweight crew together with the radio operator and loader that are left over when my three Christmas "Stark Girls" finally focus on the LT432 / T100 LT [2].

[2] Oktober/november 2020 by my current reckoning, but it pays to plan ahead. :great:

I dont even know what Call for Vengeance does, but whatever it is, it will be better than the other two.

We could use some perks rework, because a lot of them are useless.

If the map/s used in Frontline were more readily accessible then Signal Boosting could become useful, but the current maps are too small for it to be of benefit.

Equally, if there were more players using Stock tanks then Relaying would be advantageous, but the only time I have noticed a drop off on the mini map was once last month on Westfield (I was still in range of other tanks on their side of the map, thus I assume the tanks that dropped off were stock).

Without reading up on it, it gives you extra time spotting after you have been destroyed, so enemies that you are spotting stay visible to your allies for a couple of seconds longer. It helps the team, but not you as such as you are dead.

that's the greatest of things, playing a game depending on precise rules, but the rules are being kept secret !  GG WG

I would be interested in seeing that testing.

I see no reason why it wouldn't, after all it counts as your spotting just as the normal time enemies remain spotted after you die does, and I certainly get assistance after I have died.

But it's a perk so you would need to have it at 100% to make it work, and if you can't do that then there is no point selecting it.

CfV can have its uses now and then. The others are pretty much worthless above tier II.

Only one of those 3 I've ever used more than one time is signal boosting. As in tanks that are usually blind on the map late game. And can't see what their allies are doing on the other side of the map. My T29 has relaying. But that's because he has a rather high skilled crew. And that was the best pick at that moment. As everything good had been used.

Call for vengeance is something I've never used tbh. As I can't see that being good unless you have a tank setup to be a yolo wagon. I suspect designate target is a better option for those 2 seconds. As that works all the time.

Is the vehicle a keeper? Does it have lousy signal range? If you answered "yes" to both questions select signal boosting. Otherwise none are likely to provide any noticeable benefit. I have signal boosting on my Luchs and StugIII only and as 3rd/4th skill.

I have never picked Signal boosting or Relaying on anything. I'd probably pick Call for Vengeance even though even after reading the text from the guide link I have no idea how it works exactly. My best interpretation is anyone that you have spotted when you die, is spotted for an additional 2 seconds. Since everybody dies sometimes it seems like the least useless, unless you're playing under tier 4 where radio range might be a thing.

That did not confirm whether or not it gives you assistance. Good guide tho!
