bad gun, armor is worthless since if they aim for the tracks from up front or behind, they penetrate anyways.

Just so you know.png

Don't let the "ABSORBED" text fool you. The armor over there, together with the spaced armor is less than 100mm. Of course the tracks might absorb some of the shell's penetration power, but most tier V-VI+ tanks that have at least 125-130+ pen can easily go through there.

Too slow to get into position, and is absolutely a suffering to play on large, open maps. It's ridiculous we've got japanese superheavies leaving this tank in the dust. And let's not even talk about bottom tier matches in the Church. I'm not going to dish out 60K+ credits to spam gold at almost anything 1-2 tiers higher than me since the top gun is so terribad that there are no words to describe it.

Buff the gun

Give it the BP's top gun. In exchange, make aim time or accuracy a little worse. Hell, maybe even lower the reload time as well. I mean 148 pen? On a tier VI heavy? I mean, if you spam APCR it might work, but at that point i might as well play the cromwell. LMAO

Buff the mobility

Even if by a tiny bit. At least give it a 25 kph top speed so i won't feel embarassed seeing Jap superheavies overtaking me. Give it a stronger engine, so i won't fall asleep going 10 kph even on the smallest ramps or upwards on hills, climbing up into position. Just spent half of the match rolling uphill on the North-East side on Malinovka. By the time i got to the top, there was barely anything to shoot at.

Do something about the hull behind the tracks

Make it a little bit thicker. Just by 5-10 mms. Tired of getting permatracked from the front or rear as the reds chip away on my hitpoints. Besides, there's a plate between the upper hull and lower plate which almost anyone can penetrate as they please.

Just so you know2.png

Anyways, /rant. Hope everyone, or most of you are having a good day out there :)

Fear not my friend!

WG already know this. In fact is testing the BP prototype as tier 6 HT so you can suffer twice as much while training your Churchill crew.

Can't wait for this snail to come into the premium shop. "Ride of the valkyries" can work wonders with this tank. :D

Oh yes. Saw/read about that one. New Tier VI premium i persume? :D

If it'll be suffering from the same symptoms as the BP or Church, there will be barely anyone to buy it aside from collectors, and people might demand and immediate buff for it.

I posted this earlier in another thread:

Block Quote

Started playing the British HT line last weekend - to put it with a certain streamers words, oh-boy-oh-boy-oh-boy :facepalm:

Currently at Churchill VII - daily double yesterday was chasing after the front and always too late - 4 shots fired 0 damage. And such battles are not unusual - slow tanks on bigger maps in an environment of low HP tanks are just a liability, robbing the team of a gun when it's most needed, early in battle - by the time you arrive at a flank, it has often been already overrun or has collapsed :sceptic: It is even hard to get enough decent victories worth applying the 5 daily 3x premium XP boosts...

And don't forget about the -4° gun depression of the top gun, while other guns have -12° at least over the sides.

Just give it the 17 pdr and give it a tad more power to weight. The slow speed vs armor balance worked 10 metas ago. But less so today.

This x1000

I'm almost completely sure since the introduction of the British and their heavy tank line, Wargamingtm barely looked onto the Churchills, while other tanks have been changed, buffed, or rebalanced, leaving the Churchills(And maybe even the Black Prince) lagging behind other heavies A LOT in terms of performance

I mean, to play the other side of it... I've had some amazing matches in Churchill VII. It's all about how you use it. (And if matchmaking blesses you.)

Once upon a time, when the world was still young, the C7 was one of my favourite tanks.

It didn't age well. I will remember it fondly, though. I learned to angle in it, and to some extent, read the game. Slow moving tanks force you to think before you act.

UK heavies were my main tech line when I started playing WoT. Trying to grind these things with 0 game knowledge and 50% crews and managing not to quit the game forever is one of my greatest feats of endurance to date.

I thought CH7 is just fine. Just drive at enemies and shoot at their front wheel. Die and play some other tank. Repeat when mentally healed.
