Oneshotted by my O-HO for no apparent reason at the beginning of the battle. He didn't even get banned, just turned blue and continued his business. Team damage system does not work, he killed a top tier tank without any consequences. This is not the first time happening, but this is the straw that broke the camels back. And yes, I am a peasant who does not carry an automatic extinguisher so I burned to death. It makes no difference, he took 1000 hp out of 1100.

No crapthe team damage system is close to useless at doing what it should do.

Team damage is going to be removed in 1.6 anyways.

Just saying removing team damage is a mistake and should only be removed in special things like Frontline.

 

Otherwise we might as well just be playing that kiddie game Blitz.

Agreed with this, I am not for removing, but for some change that is going to be effective.

Either remove team damage at all or make it so if someone team kills you he gets 1 week of ban from the game ! Make those f*ckin brain dead monkeys learn.

He turned blue after one shot.

Looks like the system do work.

ok OP - and how would you implement a system that makes the difference between he 1 shot you because he's a cretin and he 1 shot you because you jumped in front of him?

 

I mean, ok, it can probably be improved by checking if there are enemies 5 degrees around the direction where the guy's gun pointed, but... probably wg is too cheap for that :P

The best part is that even though he removed you from the battle at the start before you did anything to get xp and goes on to fight a battle with a full hp derp superheavy Godzilla tank, he STILL manages to finish in last place ahahahaa!! takes dedication it really does.

Fire ticks used to count as individual instances of team damage so unless they have changed that then he will have got a ban.

 

Ah there was only one fire tick.

 

Anyway, about that replay?  I'm guessing the dog ate it.

Sure, so if someone drive in front of you and you accidentaly kill him how would you feel getting 1 week ban?

The other day we had a Conway on our team that did literally nothing but attempt to push people out of bush cover into enemy fire. He was asked over a couple of minutes nicely to stop but persisted anyway. Fortunately I had a 1750 HESH solution to the problem.

 

While not advising team damage in general, if you get rid of team damage you can look forward to a whole new level of donkeys pushing, ramming and blocking and your team will have no way to self regulate.

Drive your tank under/over a blue player and he will get banned.

If it works the same as ranked, you'll still turn blue and get bans for that. 

 

I should know, having splashed 4 ally tanks with arty and turned blue. :medal:
