why did I not get ant blocks for mission?

I can count to 9 blocked shots.

My best guess, at least 5 of those shots were ricochets instead of stopped by armour. And that's just me coming up with something that it potentially might be, 'cause I genuinely have no idea otherwise.

It is a spaced armor issue, blocked damage tracking gets wonky with that & the Superpershing's main armor sellpoint is the spaced armor. So Blocked damage tracking becomes RNG on it.

 

PS: would love to see a replay of this, to see where the discrepancy between damage blocked & actual shells stopped comes from.

Did you actually block them when they hit armour or did they hit external modules like your tracks?

So the RNG decides which shells got through the spaced armour but were blocked by the main tank skin

 

Is that it?

Do lower tier shots count?

 

I guess that it count only shots that hit the main armor.

1180 blocked dmg.

Hits/Avg dmg:

9=131.1        Not possible

8=147.5        Not possible

7=168.571    Not possible

6=196.666... Not possible

5=236            Not possible

4=295            Possible

3=393.333... Not possible

Jpanther, WZ TD & Tiger shots were all accounted for & got added to blocked damage (special note, only one of two JPanther shots counted for blocked damage, the second shot got fully absorbed by tracks & causing a critical hit, still gets picked up as a damage stopped shot but not a blocked one, hence only one shot added to blocked damage)

The non-damage shots done by the T-34-85 (2 shots), leo (one shot) & AMD 178B (two shots) on the other hand are very interesting. All their non-damage shots got picked up by the battle-result screen. However the hitlog picked up only one non-damage shot of these three tanks, namely one from the T-34-85 & the rest of the non-damage shots aren't shown on the hitlog.

 

Looking at the tank hull, the shots did got picked up, but the place of impact was interesting, they all hit spaced armor! T-34-85M had two non-damage sideshots in you, one hit the main armor for 0 damage (the damage blocked shot that got shown in the log) and one that hit spaced armor for no damage (no trace in hitlog)

The Leo non-damage shot & the two AMD non-damage shots all hit your front UFP & penned, but never penned your hull, indicating the armor below stopped the shell. Didn't got tracked by hitlog however and thereby never got added to damage blocked.

Looking at the replay, it seems spaced armor is treated special by the hitlog & damage blocked tracker. The hitlog gets confused & just doesn't track the shot hitting spaced armor for no damage (no mention of the hit in the hitlog) Does get tracked by the direction indicator & the direction indicator also says -this amount blocked-, but the hitlog doesn't agree on this & shows nothing.

Battle-result screen seems to follow a mix. It accepts the hits registrated by the direction indicator (all the hits you received and caused no damage are in the battle result screen, including the ones causing only a critical hit)

However, battle result screen only accepts the damage blocked value of the hitlog & not the hit direction indicator. Hence the shots tanked doesn't add up with the damage blocked value.

 

I suspect the issue of spaced armor non-damage hits not getting tracked by the ingame hitlog is likely because it waits on the server for a value of damage to display (because the shot 'penned' the spaced armor), but it never comes through, because the tank never got damaged.

Just as nice as "Do X amount of dmg in first X min." where blind shots are not counted.

They are counted just not by the in game mission tracker.  I had one such mission complete after being told I had failed.

 

If the mission tracker counted them you could use it to know you had a hit.

My friend has shown several games where he did required amount of damage in time, but blind damage was not counted and the mission was failed.
