I was just wondering considering that some people got tanks for 16k bonds last auction when there was only 200 tanks available (from what I could find on here), how much do you guys think will be needed to secure one for this campaign?

Dunno, I would say about 25k minimum as there was a few events to get a lot of bonds since the last one, but maybe you should keep them for the bond shop when they start to add tanks to it

Considering converting whatever fame points I achieve into bonds to use, I want the chieftain more than any tank that will be in the bond shop realistically.

It doesnt matter what tank you choose just the bidding amount, they are all in the same pool.
Basicly 1000 highest bids gets a tank of their choice, doesnt matter which one it is

Thats not true. You will need more than 20k, for sure, 100%, non negotiable.

Last campaign my friend put a bet on 907 with something like 22-23k bonds and it didnt go through.

You can only hope, that last campaign wealthy people get rid of their bonds for the auction. On the other hand, a lot of people got bonds from ranked and frontlines.

The maximum you should go for is the 5000 PFP option, otherwise you'd be better off just grinding to get a position in top 8000.

  7800 PFP = 1700 bonds

17800 PFP = 2100 bonds

Definitely not worth it. In either case, I doubt 1700 bonds or 2100 would make much of a difference in the bidding (of course depends on how many bonds you have currently).

Looking at the current required PFP to get in to top 8000, 18000 could be close to what it ends on.

Hey Sowa :great:

The fact that so many bonds were up for grabs in the last year had occured to me, but my thought process was that the people getting all those bonds would more than likely have the CW reward vehicles already?

Sorry, but that number is simply not correct. My bet was 22k and no tank for me.

This time I'll bet 30k.

Those figures are for the very first auction (the lowest was about 13k ish bonds).

In the last campaign the lowest winning bid was about 23k bonds.

This time, expect it to be over 30k bonds.

If you ask me WG are running these auctions to try to "price" these tanks for the bond shop.

Ask yourself this ...

If every Reward Tank and exotic Premium ever released was available to buy now, how much would you pay for say a 907, a Chieftain, a Pz 2 J, a kv-4 kreslavskiy ?

Now ask yourself how much others would be willing to pay !!  Then consider that people did pay 25k gold for a Gold Type 59.  How much should they be on sale for ?  200k Bonds ?

"Bonds will never be sold for money" - expect that to change soon ... Bonds, coming in a bundle to you soon™.

I'm glad I was 3 mins too late for that one, as it was just a skinned copy of the one I already got, otherwise I would have bought it expecting the extra credit and XP like the "real" Gold Type 59.

22600 was lowest bid to get tank last time.

This time it's probably higher.

My guess is it'll be over 30k (as the Chieftain has proved itself to be op/extremely good and this is the first time it's available after it's been able to prove itself in ranked and randoms)

Really? I've got 48k, and I want to balance things. On one hand I want the thingy, but on the other I don't want to spend them all.

Last campaign my bid was 22k and I very much regret it now, but I was going for 30k this time and that number stings me quite a bit as it is.

Well the minimum is clearly going to be at 23,500 bonds in the auction because that was about the starting point last time. What the winning 1,000 tanks will be this time is going to be interesting. My guess is the minimum this time round will be about 25,200. Caution warning this is my guess. So just to be really sure you would need to be above that amount. Do I think you will need to bid 30,000bonds to win? No I do not, although I guess that amount would get you in the top 1,000 in the auction with some certainty. I will leave it up to you where to calibrate between 25,200 and 30,000bonds you bid, and how hard you squeeze to the minimum bid, or how much you sting yourself to go to the 30,000bond bid for certainty.

So glad I don't need to bother, the prices will be eye watering.

psst: It probably isn't worth it as you will still get balanced by Arty, and more so your own in future.

I actually wanted to bid, but over 25k bonds, that's all my bonds including what i get from the CW campaign, it's probably more sensible to get some bond equipments for tanks.

25k is still worth trying I'd say. Even though it might seem unlikely, you never know. Tbh, the 23k limit really surprised me last time, but it is reality.

If the last bid on the last campaign was indeed 22,600, even 30k might be short, actually.

From the 7 episodes of FL so far: 6k

From the daily premium accounts missions: between 4k and 5k

And then there were ranked battles.

Plus medals from battles and tier 10 battles.

When you account for all that, it's shaping more to 33k.

15:32 Added after 4 minutes

Me too, I thought I was bidding safe with 22k and then I got it returned instead of a tank...
