I can understand the reasoning behind the introduction of this new feature, but I still do not agree with it. It dumbs down the game too much. What I am happy to hear though is that arty does still get penalized for shooting allies and that trolling arties is no longer possible.
Trolls will abuse this for sure, but the thing is that physics abuse is bannable offense. Just report it to customer support and they will act on it. What to remember though is that the physics abuse has to be unprovoked. So if you insult another player, push them or whatnot, and they start pushing you, you just can't run to customer support with tears in your eyes and demand the other player should get banned. If only people would understand that before reporting something. My condolences for CS reps who will have a load of people coming to whine to them in coming months.

Yes, now i can finally go camp / do passive spotting with my scouts without gettin shot by dumbass teammates who dont understand passive spotting....
Binocs, camo net, full camo and both view range skills maxed out on crew - camping often works better than active spotting
