wtf is this, tier 8 lt with a tier 9,5 light tank gun or basically centurion gun? it looks rather silly.

Comparing this one to the premium Senlac, they're similar apart from the DPM difference countered by the better accuracy and gun handling on the LHMTV.

FV1066 Senlac

Ramming this tank with almost any vehicle will be an unpleasant experience (8 tons) same goes for the tier 7 Setter (7.9 tons)!

That DPM  That is tier 4 DPM, on a tier 8 light tank that needs high ROF to do half its job.

I thought WG had got passed the belief that mediocre tanks could somehow be balanced by high pen, apparently not.

Didn't work for the Panther 2 or Centurions etc. they were all crap and needed significant buffing (and still do).

I suppose it looking slightly better than the premium is a thing (but then the premium is terrible) but overall this whole line looks awful IMO.

Haven't seen the tier 9 yet but the tier 7, 8, 10 and tier 8 premium are IMO all looking to challenge for the worst tanks on tier spot.

Thanks for posting OP.

This tank looks like a complete pos. I guess WG are playing with the Even 90 concept, but that only just about works due to autoloader and minute size.

I can't see a working playstyle for this thing.

dpm is overrated most of the time when it comes to lts. take an ebr or elc even 90 as an example, i dont have any issues with low dpm while playing them.

It's effectiveness depends on the size, if it is as small as the ELC EVEN it will be decent.
If it is as large as German lights, it will be pretty bad.

But Even90 has 3 x 220 damage clip, with 2.5sec intra-clip. So you might get 660 damage in your face within 5 seconds if you yolo one.

LHMTV has 220 alpha every 9 seconds. So it'll be open season on them and anyone who gets close can yolo and dpm them to death quite easily, at minimal cost.

DPM is not that over rated, a difference of 200 maybe, but when we are talking about difference of nearly 1k in some cases that is huge.

Especially as these tanks have no clip potential or alpha advantage.

ELC has a terrible gun and its a big disadvantage, but it still at least has a clip so can put down 660 damage in a very short space of time.

EBRs have not that terrible DPM anyway and have high pen HE to somewhat make up the difference, the EBR 105 with its HE has about 1k higher DPM than the Manticore and higher alpha.

It's also not just about DPM, its about usable ROF, one of the key thing with lights is ROF to track people or get off two shots to a larger tanks one or get off a shot whilst another tank is reloading, these tanks can't do that, they can't keep someone tracked as they effectively have reload of heavy tanks.

The tier 10 has a 13-14s base reload, something like an M48 Patton for the same alpha is firing like 6s quicker.

Also @ Muffin they are not that small, they are more like similar size to French AMX lights, like the tier 10 is about a similar size to a 13-90, tier 10 is about as big as a 13-106, slightly higher than a T-100 lt.

The Even 90 is much smaller.

I find it pretty hilarious that, for such a small vehicle, the LHMTV has worse base camo than Object 416... oh wait, 416 is Soviet, silly me. :harp:

Anyway, WG is pushing for the passive spotter and sniper role with these tanks, they can't compete in 1v1 brawls with anything but if left alone and played intelligently they could get to a good position and act as a bootleg tank destroyer, the high pen for class helps (I mean, I don't remember anyone complaining 226 pen is bad in Tier 8).
