So I checked the AE Phase 1 on tanks.gg and noticed this, hope it won't end up like this by the time we get it  

 

And here I am speaking of that really crappy armor all the way around the gun especially when you are using your gun depression where your turret armor should be the best but it's not on this tank

And it fills the consumable panel so there are no additional slots?

It's not that big a problem. I just the armor is good enough to sidescrape as well, since not all maps are great for going hull down specially when there are 3 SPGs.

 Of course I understand WG's reasoning behind this. Remove an equipment slot where you can install vents (most likely) and what do you need to improve performance? A case of Cola. A repair kit isn't always used in a battle, sometimes people have two and only use a small one. That new built-in feature is not something very useful. A drink is always used, no matter what happens in a battle.  And there it is: 20.000 credits gone. Pay or accept that those 5% to all skills is not there anymore, instead you get some wheels and spanners!

Since I am in to the frontline for creds, gold, bonds and other goodies plus Emil1951 I am not upset about 

this underwhelming tier IX, and this idiocy with equipment slot.. 

Also I was not grinding my face of in this mode just casual play with that Emil in my sights 

I can only imagine disappointment of the guys who went all in, but idk maybe it's not that trash..

It actually is a big problem when you have so many "weakspots" around your gun, and about sidescrape, we will have to see how good the uperplate is in order to alow you to sidescrape, I know it has decent side armor but none will shoot your side if they can just pen your uperplate. Also T29 at tier 7 has 279 mm on the mantlet, and it's huge, a tier 9 heavy that rellies alot on it's turret should not have those sub 200mm effective spots (which are quite a few) which T29 for examples dosen't have 2 tiers lower.

Luckily i'm not interested in that tank (as i was never getting to prestige 10 anyway)

 

I'm at p3 tier 29, so i should get the STA-2 quite quickly the first day (the only one i'm vaguely interested in tbh)

 

And if the consumable "balance" and restoration time are the same again this month, i won't be playing much again

It is.

In Russian "equipment" (i.e. repair kits)  and "modules" (i.e. vents) can be translated as equipment

However, it is equipment equipment in Russian text. Not modules equipment.

But... now I am really thinking if I want to go to teir 10 or not.... Tank is not that great. And grind is a bit too much. But lets see.... it does give free gold and all for each tier as well .

At least  I should be able to get to Emil.
