Hey there!

I wrote to WG's support with the idea of extending the list of winners for the MG event to 9,000.

"Ladies and gentlemen,

on behalf of myself and the other players from the 8,000-9000 classification in the avenue of fame, I am asking you to extend the list of award-winning places by tank to place number 9000. I am saying that the campaign is not for everyone. All clans can fight on the global map, but the strongest will do the most. On the advanced and elite front, one can not break through "monopolists" as for instance by the INVIL clan. During the campaign, students, including me, finish their education and must defend themselves, so there is not enough time for the game. Despite my efforts, my modest person in an equal week managed to get 19700 points with the TDSTS clan, which puts me right behind the prize-winning place. Extending the list of winners would be a solid nod to the players who tried hard.

I am counting on a positive consideration of the case.

Sincerely,

kuben269 [TDSTS] "

In response, I received information to share my insights on the game forum and see what other players think about my idea. So here I am and I ask you if you are for the list of award-winning places to be extended to place 9000?

Just

Get

Better

I'm sorry if it sounds harsh but it's a reward for doing well, not a reward for doing a lot.

There seems to be a common assumption nowadays that we should reward hard work.  Yes i can see that the new(ish) rules might favour players from clans that do better, but then join one.  Yes I can appreciate you are frustrated that your effort didn't get you enough points but then if there are 8k ppl better than you then why should you be rewarded?  You knew the rules before you started playing and yet still chose to do so. I didn't want to put that amount of effort in, therefore didn't even consider playing the event.

PS I hope you have enough bonds for the auction.

I can see why you'd ask and how much it might suck to be 8001, but somebody was always going to be 8001. If they extend it to 9000 because those other 1000 people also tried hard, why'd they not extend it to 10000 for the next people who tried nearly as hard as the 1000 that just got rewards out of consideration, ad infinitum?

You have to draw a line somewhere, once it's drawn, that's the line. It doesn't matter that the area the line is drawn in, is a sliding scale, that's why the line has to be drawn somewhere in the first place.

So i guess then the player at position 9001 can write the same. And then the guy at 10001. And the guy 11001.

LOL

Do you think this would ever stick? And if it did, then someone on the 9000-10000 range would be begging next and soon enough everyone would be a winner.

Kids these days, always getting a medal...

Telling you to go to the forum was a polite way to say [edited]off.

1/4 of all participants is in 8k.

Only thing what wg can change in rules is - if players from top 8k did not claim a reward tank in some period of time, then first hand goes to 8001 and so on. If leftover tanks is still not claimed in some period of time - they sell those leftovers in auction.

Wonder why they bothered to tell you to come here?
They could have just said good luck with the auction

No.

This from someone in position 8,230.

It's 8,000 those were the rules and we all knew it when we started.

My clan messed up a couple of times, and made a few wrong choices, and some of us fell out of the top 8,000. Such is life.

Actually this campaign was quite fun, and I'd like to thank the group of guys I fought my battles with for the TS banter whilst hanging around waiting for matches to pop, and the general lack of angst even when things did not go quite according to plan. Special thanks to acm who for the most part held it altogether admirably, and probably to Mrs acm who had to put up with him shouting at us on TS.

I shall of course need to grind some kudos points with my wife, after not eating supper with her for the nights of the campaign and generally not speaking to her very much between 5.30pm and 11pm all those evenings. I have already bought her a bunch of flowers on Sunday as a starter.

Man, I couldn't compete in some previous campaigns while I really wanted to as well.

I hope WG can help me out and give me the rewards from the previous campaigns where I didn't play (every day).

I would have loved to see if OP would be pushing for a increase in amount of tanks if he was in Top 8000 too and not only because he missed the tank with 200 positions.

It's basically Support's way of saying ... "We're too polite to tell you to FO, but if you ask the forums, they'll tell you."

It's harsh but fair.
