New Personal Reserves for Frontline

People have become weary of the mode.  The same map, the huge amount of time and games to prestige and the enormous 10 month grind has made a lot of people abandon the mode.  If not entirely, many have given up on the possibility to winning the "Mystery New Vehicle", especially that they now know that the two top prizes are a Premium Emil I and a rather pointless Tier 9.

 

So WG have to rectify their biggest mistake (the grind being to long, too hard and too boring).

They also want to further monetise the mode.

 

So they plan to sell boosters.

 

Sorry but no thanks.

 

Monday I had a break after 11 days of clan wars.

Tuesday I got home really late after a fatality on my train line.

Wednesday I played 2 (or was it 3) games after I completed all the Tank Rewards missions.  I got from level 16 to 18 (I'm 1 whole prestige behind schedule due to going on holiday on a previous week).

Tonight and tomorrow I'll plat a few games and hopefully get past level 20 (which is just half way to level 30).

On Saturday I'm again away on holiday, so when FLs commences again in August I will be a full 1 1/2 prestiges behind.

So I might get to the Premium Emil but no further.  So I have to decide which of the first three tanks is best for me, because that's all I'm going to get.

 

Oh, and screw ranked too.  There's nothing ranked about it.  On day 1, everyone starts back at rank 1.  It's exactly the same as Randoms.

Even if you are general every game still takes: 30500 / 1200 = 25 games x 30 min =  13 hours of game play /week

Why would you do that and after 30 minutes have maybe 1k exp when you can play a random battle for 6 minutes and come out with 6 to 8k after using boosters and the extra x3 bounus if you win.  If you don't win then it might take 12 minutes.

I am feeling a little bitter about this "improvement" because 2 episodes ago, I realized that I won't reach the goal I set for me without neglecting job and family during those weeks. So I stopped playing the mode altogether. Now that this reserve comes into play, it might give me the illusion of a chance again, making me waste another dozens of hours before I might realize again that the goal is too ambitious. This is coming a little late, WG!

 

Or maybe, just maybe, are people playing the mode less than you'd like because of similar realizations like mine?

One question will be about booster expiration: for instance, if an active booster expires while playing a battle, does one still get the XP gain? Some Frontline battles last 20 minutes, the number of battles a 1 hour boost can apply to is not that big - 1 more or less battle makes a difference

Its not fair against those that are at max prestige now. Others will come up them with twice less grind.

If it was active during the start of the battle it should apply even if expire durring the battle otherwise is bad and wortles

I think this is only for the test server. Once they put it on live servers it will be only for $. In this game you have to pay even for the "free reward tanks".

errr what is there to test? booster doubles your xp. seems like simple math multiplier...

I have seen boosters for frontline in test server i bought them but i will not spent my time on test server to test them. There is nothing to test, just put a good price for them and let them in the game starting from tomorrow. Still some time to play saturday and sunday.

Who did this in wg deserve a prise. Frontline is paifull otherwise and please introduce intermediate ranks with steps of 150 from private to general.

welcome change.... may save some grind time if they will be common enough in randoms. 

Though, doing the test during the FL week is kinda... counter-productive.
