I am just wondering what was the real timeline of evolving these kind of TD in ww2, because the wiki and other info on that is very scarse,...

As I undestand Marder (T) was the predeccesor, than came Nashorn, after Dicker Max and after Elefant (=Ferdinand). I wonder where does that leave Sturer Emil which the only one used 128 mm PAK?

and what was the real value of them in battles? On rare pictures all the mentioned above have their gun barrel full of white stripes=many kills,...

I think the Hetzer was widely used near the war's end...

THE Hetzer may be used in numbers but was smaller in size, armoured and had 76mm gun and was rendered obsolite at the end of the war , so... doesnt count in 88-128 mm big guns brotherhood anyways,...
