Quite obviously accounts are being sold on ebay or other sites and Wargaming don't/won't do anything about it.

I wonder who would bother buying a WoT account.

Seriously, if you know someone who's interested, send them my way.

Yes, that much i know but what does that have to do with your thread title?

You didn't say much in your post so i don't know why'd you be concerned about people selling and buying accounts? or what does that have to do with XVM and WN8? They could've bought a better or worse account and it'd still be against the rules.

Selling accounts is prohibited but it's a rule made and enforced by WG mainly to protect their interests not yours or mine as players. How could that transaction possibly affect you?

This just gave me the idea of performing such a search on the bay of e, and not only was auto-suggest waaaaaay ahead of me but there are a plethora of instances (yes, too much free time on my hands).

Wow :amazed:

Yeah, you can trust the forum users to turn anything as WG's fault.

I'm genuinely interested, how should WG find out about these accounts to deal with them? Do you think they could flag an account for switching IPs suddenly? Or should they track the stats of those accounts? Or do you have anything else in mind?

I do agree that these should be dealt with, but can't see how it would be done effectively and without help from the player base, i.e for starters you should report that and see if that helps rather than complain on the forums that WG is not doing anything about it... It's also not the biggest problem for the game, maybe it's to you personally, but not for the game.

Apart from XVM being the most annoying and toxic thing about World of Tanks you mean?

Things like this, which are very common, spoil the balance of the game more than any tank WG have ever introduced.

And btw, EVERY other online game i've ever played scroll all auction/selling sites for account sales and ban the accounts. It's not rocket science, nor is it difficult.

And yes, most other games will lock an account that logs in from a different IP suddenly.

Besides all of that, you both need to take a chill pill. This thread is just poking fun at the idiocy of wn8 and in  game stats actually meaning anything at all.

Considering how much effort, time and manpower to do it. As in look for these before it's sold. I suspect it's not worth it for WG. That and 90% of them that are sold don't show their nick etc for them to bother with it. Even if it's reported.

And after it's sold? Well.. That's a different matter. But does it matter if he ruins your game in a bought account, or in a new one where he bought his way up with premium tanks?

48% eh?  It is by no means impossible that we may be in touch with you telephonically at some point in the next 18 months.

How can a mod be toxic? Is it using the player's account to be toxic? XVM enables people to see stats and the players are the ones being toxic.

And yeah, XVM being the most annoying thing is your opinion as well. I can find other reasons to be more annoying; like players whining about everything mostly about useless stuff. But that's just my opinion.

Are these kind of accounts really that common? I hardly see them, if ever. They also don't spoil the balance as MM is blind for skill. These players are treated the same as any one of us.

How do they find out which accounts are being sold. Selling an account is against the rules in WoT, so why wouldn't WG ban those accounts when they get the required proof of account being sold? Just because you once again don't trust them to ban and rather blame WG for everything, doesn't mean that they don't ban such accounts.

That would mean every IP change then? Me going on holiday and playing WoT there and suddenly getting locked for account selling. None of the games I've played do that and I do play online games on my laptop sometimes when somewhere else.

Also, care to answer; did you report that account or not? Pretty pointless to complain about WG doing nothign when you don't put any effort in helping them either. But hey I know, it's easier to complain.

Except most ISPs now use Dynamic IP Addresses, thus users are constantly logging in from new addresses.
