He was joking. Simple as that

Did this really need to be made a thread, in the gameplay section?

It's more or less the joke you pull out after seeing the same map one time to many. It's a joke as old as the game itself. And no.. it was not started by eBay accounts. Not even 3 days since I heard that joke last.... on FL.

This is a real old joke, although Himmels is usually the place for it.

It is possible to have 44k battles before Fjords was introduced. I can't quite remember when that was... maybe 2015? It also is possible to get such a severe burnout with a game that you aren't able to touch it for quite a few years. Like, i haven't played WT in... 4-5 years, i think? I played it a lot but burned out on it eventually. I'm sure that if i were to login the game right now i'd have similar reaction. Actually, scratch that, i already did since i only got back to WoT after a long absence. Glacier is new to me, the new redshire is new to me, the new erlenberg as well, and so on.

I'm guilty of using that joke, where a map that is repeated to death on PS4 is likewise repeated on PC - namely Highway, which is probably my most played map across two platforms.

New map is a ancient joke when you keep landing on the same maps

and Himmelsdorf.

I also say "my dad just bought me this Lowe is it any good?"

Well in the spirit of 'you cant prove its cheating just because he hit 12 ammo racks in a row, it could be just luck'  I will say ' You can't prove he definitely saw this map on any of his 44000 previous matches. it could be just luck'.

I'd have thought the logical inference would be an eBay buyer wouldn't have seen any of the maps before so why call out Fjords? OP took the bait, swallowed hook line and sinker.

If the team goes to positions which lead to a certain loss: "New map???"

But most of the time it is a case of "Whooosh"...

Best question at the beginning of the match (with 20k+ matches on the account)

"Gusy, which button for camonet???"

:trollface::popcorn::teethhappy:

@OP:  Whoosh....
