Absolutely delighted to see the CT2 of 1.6 out today cant wait to see what they did to fix the Manticore and preceding tanks! Whoops thought I was playing a game with a decent development team there for a second, no changes. However they did fix the IS7's left track!

I'll actually have to try out FL On the Test though with the new map being on it now.

No one is surprised though, I mean they must have known the British lights were this bad before they released them, you only have to look at how bad their attributes are, so the intention is clearly for them to be this bad.

I think the conversation went like this

A) Let's do a British light line up to tier X. As one of the first tech trees in the game there will be loads of players who would want to get those tanks,

B) Good idea, but don't make it too good.

A) Why not?

B) Well, if what you say is true then lots of players will spend gold and free XP the line anyway, Just to get the tank. So we let them do that first. THEN, we buff the tank to make it competitive and get all the other players to actually grind the line as they wouldn't grind it for a bad tank. Win/Win for WG.

Of course. As per french WV feedback majority of players ( Steve and the rest of dimwits) can't handle competitive light vehicle. WG likes pandering to decrepit old men, thus we have light tanks that can't even scratch their precious IS7 or Maus.

What (further) nerfs have been applied on the 430 and 430U, does somebody know?

Am I missing something? OP is whining that nothing was done to the Manticore, when the patch notes say:

Manticore

  • Increased the ammo rack capacity from 16 to 20 shells
  • Changed the aiming time from 2.3 to 1.9 s
  • Changed dispersion during movement from 0.18 to 0.16 m
  • Changed dispersion on hull traverse from 0.18 to 0.16 m
  • Now the vehicle can turn on the spot
  • Changed the engine power from 500 to 530 h.p.

lol everyone thought they would. Even the CC's said CT2 would bring massive changes. I mean... the SP 1C DPM is still trash, and the Toldi III still has no ammo. Why did you all expect them to fix this too?

i think they wanna make the 9/10 just about playable so people will free xp through 7/8. They are a business after all, they wont you to convert free xp.

You're all being far too negative. This is a new light line for those of us who prefer passive spotting and I welcome it. :great:

Now all we need is for the maps to be updated with passive spotting opportunities and teams that pay attention to what their lights are spotting for them and can react to the flow of battle instead of lemming all to the same position on open maps and tanks that can do more than sit hull-down waiting for the gold to be loaded and arty that can support lights by doing more than providing a temporary annoyance.

Oh, the ability for these new lights to defend themselves with more than a single shot during the battle before being countered by wheelies would be nice too.

They didn't have enough data to nerf 430U but they had enough data to buff T-44-122.
From where I'm standing it looks WG don't play this game. They only know the game from stats.

These were announced ages ago and most people said they were clearly not enough and the tank would still be very bad so I think most people presumed we would see more buffs on CT2.

I also have to hilariously laugh that the tank couldn't turn on the spot in its original state, I mean seriously how bad did they want this tank to be? Almost every tracked vehicle in the game turns on the spot and I am certain every tier 10 can.

Care to share where you got such information ''ages ago''. These are from the CT 2 patchnotes so they are recent. They are different stats to the CT 1 patch notes from 11th of July. ''Ages ago'' would suggest you got them before that or then already.

Someone posted them in the Public test thread on the 16th.

Yeah basically they didn't address anything that makes these vehicles complete garbage. Guns not really changed, DPM still absolutely criminally low. They only buffed their mobility a bit, the factor that wasn't really any issue.

Cobra 6

And the worst part is that their penetration is sorta on level/better than same tier medium tanks but at tier X, 248/268 is a far far cry from ~260./330-340 HEAT shells and the alpha is nothing special either. Sheridan, AMX 105, WZ 132-1 all have 390 alpha. The mobility is nothing special and neither is the view range. A couple extra percents of camo is nice but with everyone maxing out their tanks these days, I highly doubt it is that different from other LTs. It just sucks in every aspect compared to pretty much all the light tanks of the same tier.

The cries of "this line is just too bad" reminds me of the cries of "this tank is just too bad" when they announced the even 90 - back then the cries turned into "that thing is so op 'cause its tiny and has camo"....

Those cries are from Steve and Co.. The tank is still trash due to its gun (90mm guns deal 240HP, not 220, inaccuracy, reload, etc)

Has anyone ever considered elc 90 OP?? i mean it's ok for passive scouting, but that playstyle is frankly quite boring and useless on most city maps
