Hello all,

Browsing through Twitch early this morning at 03:47 (GMT+1) I was surprised by Farming Simulator (Agricultural game) having more viewers than WoT...

A lot of people (apparently) like that game. Can't blame them.

I honestly don't care something about twitch , given the fact that the average user probably still goes to school and eats milk and biscuits and, on average, plays crap games like Fortnite/Minecraft and other meaningless games.

If a ridiculous game like The Sims 4 is in the first positions the only thing to worry about is the intellective quotient of the average twitch viewer.

The trends on Youtube and Facebook are the same, average people like stupid things, what do you wonder about?

[note the excellent position of World of Warships with 1,3mln of viewers]

Nope, you answer your question by showing the time you looked at it.

Who were you expecting to see streaming at 3:47am? The core playerbase is RU with EU running second, most people were tucked up in bed at that time.

You can worry if you like, but as it's not going to make much difference if you worry or not, I'd choose not to if I were you :)

Ofc not, WoT is still going, the reason that everyone likes FS game is

  • It's totally free.
  • There's no loses there.
  • Most of the viewers are kids below 10 y.o.
  • And it's literally easy to play.

Farming Sim actually has an Esports event. that apparently requires thought and ability to win. The prize pool is €100,000 I believe.

Edit:

  • It's totally free.                                               Look it up on Steam.  It is not free
  • There's no loses there.                                  Pretty sure there will be losses in an Esport.  The latest version can have multiple farms you can play competitively if you wish.
  • Most of the viewers are kids below 10 y.o.    Pure assumption
  • And it's literally easy to play.                          Have you tried? or is it more assumption?

Some games arent particularly entertaining to watch, but fun to play. I like the game, but i wouldnt watch a streamer play it.

wonder if they fans who turn up for live events are into Cosplay? I'd personally tune in and watch the Esports if they were surrounded by buxom wenches in farm girl outfits, and burly ploughmen in their morris dancing gear :)

The time this was checked adequately demonstrates why the Americas are a difficult audience to attract - they're still playing Arma 3, which is a fully featured Mil-Sim (NA WoT server peaks at 17,000 players).

As for FS, it's a good game in its own right.

FS costs £29.99, and has always been a Buy to Play game.

The games getting old and it's pay to win element has been expanded massively which just fuels the downward trend.

To me, quite the opposite. It is a lot more fun to watch WoT than to play it.

For the lulz, took a look just now.

Quite low down there :P

Minecraft is whatever you make out of it. I wouldn't call those who manage program a functional calculator in game particularly stupid. Playing around with blocks is actually a very good way to build up and train spatial insight. I haven't yet managed to find anything remorely intelligent about WOT. (Although even basic stuff can be too much for some to comprehend.)

Tbh... I know of two former WOT CC's "both on NA" that now have 5x more views after they turned the channel into a farming sim channel. Tho one also runs trucking sim on top of it.

And I can see why. As I got Farming sim 17 via Xbox game pass. And it's a great game if you just want to chill. Even if you hate farming or have no idea how it works. It's still fun... Idk why. Played it a bit too much tbh so far after I installed it 3 weeks ago.

Then again, for some it's more fun to watch it, then play it. Farming sim has always been popular that way since it first came.

Why is it people cannot distinguish their opinions from facts?  VAl

No separation of opinion from fact.  Use of poison the well fallacy to support non-points.

As to judging a person's intelligence based upon what they play or watch.  That is a pure post hoc fallacy.

If you have evidence to show that mainly children watch Twitch then present it otherwise another post hoc fallacy.

All that is needed to make these statements parse a little better is the qualifier of in my opinion.  Also, reduce the rhetoric regarding peoples intelligence.

Reported* for stereotyping simple country folk.

Also, as someone originally from Naaaaaarfark I can vouch for the fact that a more accurate cosplay for a farm worker would be a tracksuit, an Eastern European accent and a work ethic. The locals are more likely to be dossing around outside Top Shop trying to buy cheap weed and finding out if the girl they like is a cousin (it doesn't stop them but it gives them something to talk about).

Playing arty.

* Note for mods: not actually reported, this is what's known as "an joke". Please don't have a sense of humour failure like last time.
