I saw in Homefront very advanced bots, shoot damage and track, change the direction of travel depending on where it gets damage! so my question is, from where we know that bots are not in random battle,or that they will not be introduced in the future!

I think that's the whole point of Homefront. WG is trying to teach AI how to play. Because this game is going into a horrible direction and the playerbase is melting everyday. So in the near future they will have to implement more bots in random games. I guess it's inevitable when a game company ignores all kinds of community feedback and insists on terrible game decisions.

I find it pretty funny how its harder to fight against literal bots than against red playerbase.

Can't say I've seen many that get confused if you block them as their waypoint is cut off and they don't know how to get there anymore. Well... not since 2013 that is. Then again tomatoes in random don't change direction when they get hit, they keep going the same way. So homefront bots has a point up on that aspect.

Unless you play on NA. Then yes. I've seen WG bots on low tiers there.

Hey, the AI has a massive pool of data to learn from!

Hopefully , they stay away from general chat.

they won't have fully mastered mimicking humans until they start shooting teammates.

I have to say that the tiger and panther run by the game play better than most players :teethhappy:

A computer program that can be programmed with all the knowledge in the game is better than the average human...of course it will be, it's logical.

So far the only "improvements" I see in the current bots are:

- they spot you through bushes

- they have unusually high accuracy

So pretty simple to make "winning" bots for WG, no need for AI or anything fancy. Just point the gun at the green tank and make it look like it's shooting it.

When I'll see bots taking decent routes in a random map, taking time to aim, preaiming, etc then I'll consider playing against them

Plot twist:

WG say it is bots, but in reality we are fighting each other:hiding:

One thing I don't like about how the Homefront bots work. If you are hidden and unspotted and fire and hit a bot sometimes (normally when there are no other sighted opponents) the bot will turn it's turret to shoot back along the line it was shot. You can literally see the barrel of the bots gun lining up along the trajectory of the damaging hit. This is beyond most human players.

Ok if a human player is hit by an unspotted opponent and there's a conspicuous bush in a known sniping spot it'll probably take a bit of blind fire but the bot literally lines up through multiple bushes with unerring accuracy and fires straight back at you every time you fire.

Maybe you could argue that this sort of thing balances out against the bots tendency to roll up the map in semi straight lines but it felt a bit like playing against a player with  some kind of cheat or aimbot as opposed to an actual human player. I'd rather they just threw more opponent bot tanks against you than had this type of behaviour.

they are difficult considering they know exactly where you are whether you're detected or not. same in wows coop mode.

I agree, because even a human will only have a 2D notion of where the shot came from. Guessing where the shot came from, we only know it came from "this" direction, but we still need to know where, if lower or higher, if this bush or the one in the same direction, a little higher in the terrain. These bots can really follow your exact line of shot.

yes I already got shot several times by these bots while being unspotted, it doesn't feel right

also, when I flank these tigers, also unspotted, they magically know where I am and turn their turret towards me.
