With "flexible" i mean a tank that can be played in different ways and not only in one. A tank that can adapt to most maps and situations.

I'm inclined to TVP, 50b or Progetto (i fear this will be nerfed before i reach TX since is a new line....).
Does the 50b armor make it better than the TVP? Or is it too slow ?
Does the low pen of TVP make it "unplayable" ?
I tend to not fire gold at all.

Thanks !!

The Progetto line is by the far the best currently. The tier 8 Pantera is over shadowed by the Progetto 46 but still okay. The tier 9 and 10 tanks are very good. About a possible nerf, the line flies well under the radar. No one complains about it except the tier 8 premium in FL. Unless WG themselves find the need to do that, there is a low chance for a nerf in the future.

Edit: the low pen of the TVP doesn't make it unplayable, it makes it a parasite of sorts. Your ability to challenge heavy armor, even on mediums, is limited. Chances are you'll find some of that armor at any stage of the game and it could be the deciding factor of the battle whether you can kill/damage that armor or not.

Progetto has to be the most flexible because it's the only one that doesn't have to withdraw from the fight to reload its clip. If you're feeling generous you could throw a couple of points to the BatChat for its ability to act as a pseudo-light but as long as your opponent can count, you're compromised to a degree in the rest that the Progetto doesn't necessarily share.

the progetto is certainly the most flexible, followed by the tvp

my absolute favorite remains the t57

the best line to grind remains in my opinion that of bc25t

Type 5 Chi-Ri for most flexible autoloader.

Followed by spaghetto.

Strv m/42-57 Alt A.2 is a fairly sound bet, with a good RoF + Dam/Pen combined with mobility and a small profile. The paper armour can be a problem, but angling works against most things that do not deliver one hit kills - avoid Japanese Battle Fortresses!!!

Obviously this is a Premium, but it serves as a good trainer for Tier VIII and up, possessing a 3 man crew like its higher tier counterparts.

After that, the Chi-Ri is on my to-do list due to my having heard good things about it.

What do I answer to the third question if I have done all those grinds from zero?

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the Pantera with its decent speed and shell velocity. Though progetto 46 feels a bit more nimble, the Pantera has a better gun handeling. I am keeping this tank after i am done with the grind.

Which one did you enjoy the most or proved least painful or has fewest bad memories associated with tanks in the line? Or which one do you like the colour of most? Or which one do you want OP to grind because you think he deserves to share your pain?

It's not like any of these threads matter. OP asks the question, disappears for a few weeks and then comes back to demand buffs to the T110E4 because he went up that line instead.

Tier for tier if you consider "any role". I would say Standard B and 13 90.

Laughed at this (positive way); I think these kind of posts are useful for everyone and not only for me, also is so hard to choose a line to grind (due the effort and time to reach at least T8), so sometimes we just follow our sense and go for the best looking one, or maybe we chose the best/op, or sometimes we chose the one better for our playstyle....
If I had to chose the best looking it would be the E5 or E4 or E3, then i have already a medium and a heavy both russian......and finally i'm making these posts to find the one that fit my playstyle, i tend to like fast tanks to relocate and help my team to win, i also like to bounce some shots and finally i would like to have an autoloader beacouse so many times i died for a low roll leaving my enemy lower than 100 hp.

Most flexible is the Italian line, everything else is unload-retreat-repeat, while the Italian line can be constantly applying pressure by not emptying the magazine, while still being able to take the assassin role by unloading and delete an enemy from the game at any time. And as a medium tank, it can flex around the battlefield and relocate whenever necessary.

I'm glad you laughed, that was my only intention from that post. :)

You're right, of course, these threads are useful for others and I often search the forum to get a range of views on a tank or line I'm thinking about grinding. I shouldn't always be sarcastic, it's not useful to anyone but I look for cheap laughs in order to validate my sad existence by begging for likes as I sit here in my underpants.*

I got a few things to say on this.

1. The grinds are much easier and faster now, and that's by a very large margin.

2. You don't have to ask or follow any sense, do what any reasonable person does and head to the (running) Common Test and try the tanks you have doubts about. Simple.

Sandbox /= Common Test.

And the CT is currently up and running.

any of the meds. Proseco for gun + autoreloader; tvp for burst(has same dmg in clip as italians with 60% of the reload time and faster intraclip).

Bc because.. here I don't know. The problem is you need rather longer games to shine and in tier 10 games are rather short and pretty one sided currently. But the tank is flexible(with a pretty horrid gun :P)

Autoloader heavy is probably the worst option. If you're top tier in 3/5/7 everyone will hate you. You can't tank while their top heavy can. It can work, but the team would have to play to you. And good luck with that happening in randoms.

though ok, probably it's not as bad as foch line :P

grind wise(didn't do the cz line) - both bc and proseco lines are enjoyable. bc 25t ap(the tier 9) is kinda stinky. But rest are ok. The tier 6-7 in italians are bland. But then, all tier 6-7 meds are bland... Plus those tiers are fast.

You forgot light tanks, i would vote for 13 105, it's a light tank so it's fast and stealthy, can reach positions undetected, can flex, and does 1,2k damage in a clip, so a bit less than Progetto and almost the same as TVP.

The progetto has better gun handling, .15 .15 .1 in hidden stats vs .17 .17 .12 in favour of the progetto, in addition it has 1 degree more gun depression, 10m more viewrange, .5s faster intra-clip reload, 5% less chance of fire. You could argue that Pantera has slightly better armour, but progetto is superior to Pantera in most ways (no pay2win exists in wot btw!)

While Pantera has longer intra-clip reload, it might be more aimed than progetto when the gun is ready to fire the next shell though.
