Never thought will get at the point where non playing arty will be a problem, but need opinion/help/advices and tips from you comrades.

So as says title i want to chose in perfect plan just 1 arty,in worst scenario 1-2 to start finishing campaign as got only arty left and not done.

So main things on my mind are and i need your help with those:

What arty is most friendly for person who never played arty? (i plan to reach TX on that line so please consider if possible whole line not just one tier)

Best arty to complete lets say first 2 campaigns (most damage, measy to hit targets etc etc)

Any other tips/advices/ideas are welcome!

Also please consider im just a small step by my play style and results from tomato/a bit skilled noob so even i have a good sense of black jokes so loved in WOT,this time i ask for support and help for real :)

Thanks in advance everyone, have a good day

For me it's either French or yank arty. The Brits n Russian are a little too slow on the reloads.

American and french. The BC155 58 is the most fun, as it has a 3 round clip, and you can stunlock an enemy, even if he uses the auto-medkit. ( I started to call this fenomenon auto medkit, when someon removes the stun within 0,5sec)

For missions, American arty tier 8-10 are sufficient for two first campaigns. I've used tier9 M55/53 for most missions, but after having an unused crew I bought the T92 Hmc, too and with those 2 you can easily take turns. The tier X is not required though and M53/55 is probably the best arty in the game tier for tier.

If you intend to only do one line, you might wanna keep the tier6, M44, for some missions that require you to dmg tanks X times.

If we are talking about the first set of Personal Missions (Stug, T28 HTC etc) then US T6 (M44) and US T8 / 9 is all you need. Both T8 & 9 come with two types of guns: stock gun deals less dmg, but has higher RoF and is great for stun missions. Top Guns have lower RoF but are great for dmg missions.

M53/M55, that's the only arty you'll ever need.

Stun mission? First gun.

Damage mission? Second gun.

The end.

Consider the German line, especially the higher tiers.

I rather like Tiger P, fully upgraded it's rather nice but slow as a tortoise.

I've played all nations' arty. Americans are by FAR the most noob friendly.

pro:

- the best left/right gun arc - how far to the left/right your gun goes without turning the tank (this is insanely helpful for new arty players)

- pretty strong HE with good splash

- great shell arc (shoot over stuff); I'd say second only to Brits.

- pretty mobile. Not 60 km/h like the French, but you can still escape at 30-40 km/h.

cons:

- reloads slower. Kind of expected.

French - mobile, faster shell speed with lower arc meaning you don't have to lead targets quite as much but they don't hit as hard as others. Useful for getting into positions the enemy isn't expecting.

US - best overall if you only want to do a single line.

British - accurate but doesn't stun until the upgraded gun on tier 7 (other lines get stun at tier 5), lower damage until you get the CGC, which drops houses on enemy tanks and is the arty of choice in clan battles.

German - accurate and hard-hitting but narrow gun arc on tier 5 and everything after tier 7 meaning lots of shifting your hull and re-starting your aim if you're firing at moving targets. Slow to relocate.

Soviet - not as accurate as others, narrow gun arcs through the line but shells hit like a truck.

Usually talking from tier 6 and up.

USA line is best. In general a wide gun arc, some gun depression, decent mobility, hard hitting. T92 is trash though.

German tier 8 and 9 are bad, tier X is good (fast-ish reload, okay accuracy and aiming time).

Russian tier 8 and 9 are good (hard hitting, okay gun handling), tier X is mediocre (accurate and fast but not doing much dmg).

British line, can't really tell.

French line is just bad, not hitting hard and besides being fast not really versatile (example: tier 9 has a turret but no gun depression and atrocious turret traverse). Tier 8 might be the sweet spot.

German Hummel is kinda awesome too: keeps the first gun for better accuracy and ROF, DPM on par if I recall correctly.

Shorter gun range will mean relocating thus keep an eye on the minimap.

Almost as good as it's US counterpart, but much better looking afv imo.

German, USA if you go up to T10. Soviets are pretty nice at tiers 7-9 as well.

USA is probably easiest of these for arty newcomer, since they are a bit more mobile and got turrets/decent gun arcs. Still, any of these nations are good for missions. Did most of them with germans myself though.

US line by far. Germans are nice on mid-tier. But terrible in terms of mobility on tier 8+. So you won't be espacing much. French can stun well due to ROF, but lacks alpha for most missions on tier 6+ to be flexible. Russians have alpha, but most lack ammo and they don't have a good arch for most maps. UK don't even get stun before tier 7 so don't waste time on it.  US Tier 6 will get most done with no issues on the first two, as it's a fairly good jack of all trades. And tier 7 is not bad for a mission on the 2nd campaign to do 4x your own HP for his group. Tier 9 is great for stun missions on the T-55A and Obj oth the stock gun. Even more so now that those will be easier next patch with reduced total stun times on most missions. And damage with the elite gun.

Not much to consider in terms of advice by to look at your mission. If stun is the only objective, then don't go for the big gun. Take the Us tier 9. The top gun has a bigger stun timer ofc. Even more so if you fully pen. But the stock gun reloads faster then the stun difference is. So stun timer pr min is higher if you will then. All you have to do then is find a group and aim in the middle. Aiming at a target might kill it. So thus no stun timer added.

If damage and stun is the objective then you have to experiment. Try both guns around. As what works is dependent on what you face too. What I mean by that is that the stock gun vs paper targets won't kill them. Like a shot landing in the turret of a Borsig. The US tier 9 stock gun won't have alpha to take it out. So you get lots of damage and stun timers. But vs an AT-15 you won't get much damage with that gun, but you get stuns with no issue. If it's just module damage or damage, then big gun and aim right in the middle of their face. No need to go for splashes then.
