Freedom of speech is a privilege, not a right.  Abuse that privilege and you lose the freedom. It's what most people learn as they acheive adulthood.

well, obviously this thread will be closed , but I have to say that some moderators are really childhood .. today I posted an absolutely non-offensive image and it was removed in a few minutes.

Follow the rules is right, even for moderators should be so.

So it's not a freedom at all, really.

Of course it is.  All freedoms are privileges.

I believe you have misunderstood freedom of expression (as well as being unable to spell simple words such as "allowed" and "complain".)

It is a right but not a privilege.

The right does not apply to privately hosted websites.

Companies on their own forums are entitled to moderate criticism of their products. This is true of all 28 EU member states.

OP not only do you need to learn the appropriate laws you also need to learn to keep a civil tongue in your head.

Also I expect you to receive a forum holiday shortly. Please read the forum rules prior to posting.

PS

Article 10

Freedom of expression

1Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. This Article shall not prevent States from requiring the licensing of broadcasting, television or cinema enterprises.

2The exercise of these freedoms, since it carries with it duties and responsibilities, may be subject to such formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society, in the interests of national security, territorial integrity or public safety, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, for the protection of the reputation or rights of others, for preventing the disclosure of information received in confidence, or for maintaining the authority and impartiality of the judiciary.

Discussing moderation is against the rules, so this thread's gonna be closed, as some fellow forumers were expecting.

By the way, this is the EU forum, the mods are definitely not Russian, and if anyone wishes to contest the actions they take, you can find out how to do that in the Forum Rules.

... :hiding:

Should I say "boop of nope"? Are other Staff members allowed to say "boop of nope"?
...Boop of nope.
