Naively I bought this tank on black market,,,,,worst decission I have ever made,,,,,this tank despite his gun stats is awfull...and when I say awfulll I am a bit kind,,,,slow....could not pen even full aimed tanks that are thin as paper,,,BC 12 t,,,STANDARD B....reload time over 12 s with bia and other four skills .....the so tough turret is easyly penetrated even playing hull down,,,,honestly this tank is made for grinding and wasting time . So my advice for those who intend to buy it ,,,,,dont .

But the black colour is beautiful :teethhappy:

I also bought it in the black market, don't regret it because it was for credits, but I probably played it only three times or so.

This site is your friend when trying to decide on a premium or a standard tank.

Got to watch DPM, its very important

With the same gun, no turret and a 7 second reload the TS5 is a beast

I bought it on the Black Market for credits as well, purely for lols. Two battles, 2200 damage per game, back in the garage.

It's never going to be an IS3A, a Patriot or a Caernarvon Action X. Poor DPM, low speed, long aim. But with high alpha, high pen and an OK turret you just have to pick your locations. It's not the most forgiving of heavy tanks, but it does teach you some skills that are useful with many other tanks.

I'd never have paid gold for it, and were it not for FL printing credits I'd not have spent credits on it either. But it is workable.

OP,  I when I got this tank I thought the same as you. Slow in everything it does. Ie totally rubbish!

Then I watched Quickybaby's review on it and tried to play that way. My opinion on the tank shot up.

Yes it's slow etc, but get a trained crew in it which helps.  it is bouncy, hard hitting and makes credits if you stay away from premium ammo.

I got some nice matches on it, It's like the opposite of playing a KV5, still have to learn how to play the babe but good income and some satisfaction and the girl can take lot of hits in her face if you can find where to cover ur hull and shake the head a bit
And god penning defenders and tier9-10 with a tier8 souns so sweet
Just follow the pack, don't rush, avoid playing alone and you are not a charge in tank
I bought it out of the BM thinkin about a trade in.
Now i doubt i'll sell it soon (or later)

I bought mine on the Black Market as well. I still haven't played it because I want to buy equipment at half price. I have a good crew ready to use in it, which might help, and although I'm not a great HT player nor at my best at tier VIII+ I'm hoping that I might just about make it work.

:teethhappy::teethhappy::teethhappy::teethhappy::teethhappy:

If all else fails, I might consider using it as a trade-in Premium when the opportunity arises.

Yeah the DPM is trash. Something I suspect you would have noticed if you looked at the stats before you bought it. And most here would have told you not to get it. As 0.01 seconds after it appeared, there were topics about it already for you to check here. Saying stay away from it.

It's been suggested for buffs for ages. But it's still not the worst performing tier 8 HT, thus others have gotten it before it. Tho the T34B is listed the 7th worst vs the T34 a few places up. So it's still not doing great. Def needs a ROF and gun handling buff. As that was fine in 2011. Less so today in the current meta.

But.... it still has the highest tier 8 HT pen, and a not too shappy alpha. So it works at times close up vs as a support gun. Then you won't hit anything, moving targets less so. Turret only works as top tier, as long as they don't have a Chinese HT with HEAT that high rolls that is.

T34 is good for trade-in.

You bought it for credit then you can use it to trade-in other - more useful - premium tanks.

You don't see t34 often played in pub's.

That should give you a pretty good indication of how good or bad tanks are...

yeah T34 and T34B are problematic vehicles imo , completely out of meta and underpowered af , deserve a HUGE buff as wg did in the past with the Lowe

it need less aim time, faster hull and turret speed rotation , better reload time and of course more dpm ,  a buff of the armor of the commander's cupola on the roof of the turret and more health of the ammunition hold.

Actually this tank is absolute garbage.

Remember a time when T 34 had the biggest gun of all tier VIII heavies? Yet it was hindered with awful gun handling to compensate for the gun it got? And now we have an upcoming tier VIII German tank with 490 alpha and several 440 alpha ones.

I had it on an old account from years back and found it okay in those days as a hull down monster, but boring to play and dead meat if not HD.  Of the old school Tier 8 premium heavies my favourite was easily the KV5 which had a turn of speed and could block huge amounts of damage if you angled it properly.  I remember someone taunting me in chat about my KV5 and asking why I hadn't bought a proper tank like T34.

Yes the T34 is awful in today's World of Tanks. Back in 2011 it was sort of alright, but by 2019 it was woefully outclassed by vehicles such as the very similar T26E5 as a premium USA tier VIII example.

But it would have been easy to go to the forum and read up on the T34B when it went into the Black Market shop on the day.

There were plenty of threads about the T34B underwhelming performance, although many players said that they were buying it for silver to use at a later date to trade it in and get a discount on a premium tank they really wanted.

As with many decisions in life- "buyer beware".

T34 is better than the chinese prem heavies 112 and wz- <numbers>, better than Mauerbrecher for sure and better than IS-6.

So, there you go.

I really like my Mausbrecher and 112.  Yes, I dare say that against an expert player they are rubbish, but hardly any players are expert, so in my experience they do okay in randoms.
