Does anyone who's tried it on the test server know how it now works?

 

Presume if you aim at a friendly your gun just won't fire or maybe fires but records nil damage? 

 

But what if a friendly is brawling close to an enemy when perhaps you wouldn't fire without risking  hitting team mate? Can you now shoot with impunity knowing you can't damage your team mate ?

 

And how is it going to work with the person who just wanders in front when you're about to shoot?

 

Can arty fire at friendly near enemy without risk now?

No the shot will either bounce or just not penetrate, dependent on the angle of impact. Either way, the ally wont be damaged.

 

Lets all celebrate the last day of team damage by getting yourself banned for teamkilling?!!?!?!?!??!

Last I heard it worked like this

Take how it works right now and just remove the damage absolutely everything else applies.

 

Shoot a friendly do no damage but receive the appropriate punishment for team damage,

ie the game notes what you did and if you keep doing it you turn blue then get a ban then a longer ban and so on.

Arty fires and hits friendlies there is no damage but you can stun them, once again punishment follows if you keep doing it.

 

So far as we know there is no fine and no compensation since there was no damage.

Also I am pretty sure there is no damage to crew or modules.

It'll fire but the shot will bounce with no damage regardless of where it hits. You'll still have to reload.

No. Arty won't damage their ally but they will stun them. Too many stuns and arty can still turn blue. Turn blue and FF is switched off for you, meaning your allies can shoot you.

 

The launch video on youtube mentions that this can happen to other tanks too but I haven't seen any further details on how.
