They've the worst stats I've ever seen, they don't really offer anything other light tanks can't do better and there's no unique element to them like an auto-reloader or speed booster or something interesting. They look by far the weakest tanks on the battlefield and yet I see players using them. Am I missing something or is this more a reflection that WG can literally add any old junk to the game and players will still be all over it? I don't even think they look good so they don't even have that going for them though that's purely just my preferences maybe. Don't get me wrong, at least they're not some OP or game breaking addition but still, really?

I was going to try them for myself but then I saw that a guy on the forum who doesn't know what paragraphs are for thinks they look bad so I decided not to bother.

U will still get ppl grinding it despite how awfull they are, and that is a good thing, more easy targets to shoot at. :)

But really, most ppl that are gonna get into it even doe they know its rubish, definatly either already have everything done in the game so its the only challenge left for them to try out, or for patriotic nonsense, cause they are british so they want to have them.

We all know that are alot of churchills, black princes, even the awfull gun carrier in the game been played, why a sane person would want to grind those lines... But they do.

1) Streamers / community contributors who want them for content

2) Masochists who also love to ice-skate uphill

3) Ppl who have been living under a rock; who dont read the forums or watch YT vids on these tanks

Yes I often tend to paragraph a question containing 3 or 4 sentences. Definitely needs it, my bad.

I understand those though, at least those lead to some good and excellent tanks. Like why I suffered that God awful tier8 Czech vtu thingy. I knew that was a terribly weak tank and there's no way I'd play it "just because", it was a means to an end, to get a that great tier9 but I don't think this is the case with these British lights unless the tier10 is amazing or something? It's stats doesn't really look anything amazing though, plenty of 390 alpha lights at tier10 and it has the worst dpm to boot. So I don't see a reason why players are choosing to suffer for it, if that's their reasons.

Well I'm definitely a masochist as I like a challenge, but these things, they are so bad, the tier 7 was passable but the tier 8 is utter futility, half the time you just have to play like a vulture.

I thought to grind the line, since i don't have any british tank in my garage.

But.....

I just changed my mind after some seconds. :D

I'll just go for S.Q and fv 4005

They are not very good either, but I guess it's nice to have some tanks that are actually balanced.

I'm wondering, i read somewhere that S.Q's historical gun dep was -7, but in WoT, it's -10.

Is it true?

Tbh the issue with them is the same as wheels. Wheels are made around active spotting. Not many maps that work well on. These are made for passive, not many maps that work wonders on either. As the gun is not something you can use counter to the wheel. So you are useless on most maps.

I aced my tier 7 with 2500 damage on cliff. Never worked that hard for 2500 damage ever.

Using sanity as a determinant for performing any past-time is hardly going to result in any useful deductions.  Why play a video game about tanks?  Why sit in a bush and look at birds?

A more discussable question would be along the lines of "What useful role can British lights perform when compared to light tanks of other nations"?

Because the British "Stiff Upper Lip"   The brits are renown for their perseverance and fortitude in the face of adversity.  ok actually we just whine a lot and don't really do anything about it, so if someone sells us a duff we just turn to them yes perfectly fine thank you

Started grinding them because Iwant to get my technical engineers badge back, and to give you good folks a break from me 3 marking arty .

I probably wont be able to help myself and bouts of salt farming will probably still occur when I get all dizzy from pressing the W key too much and decide I need to go back and camp on the red line and click :-)

I wiltry to play a bit less arty though because of these - honest guv ;-)

Have to say considering I'm a no skill arty scrub, I am quite enjoying the Setter - does not seem to be as bad as everyone is making out.
