What is the point of spending 25 or 50 tickets for dog tags when I could be buying them for 5? Is it so some people who don't play the game as much still get the 3 dog tag customizations then want? For example, I am only interested in the American flag, the eagle and the "in god we trust" customizations. I have already bought the American flag. Now I'm thinking about just spending 5 tickets to get random customizations. I will eventually get the eagle and the "in god we trust".

Is it possible to get all the customizations by only using the 5 ticket option except for using the 50 ticket option once?

The difference is that if you spend 25, you get what you want. Something you can do if you know you won't be able to play enough to get all of them. And WG has said if you do so, there is a chance you won't afford all via randoms. As if you spend 5 each time, you will never get duplicates, thus a bigger chance to get everything.

I screwed up.  I thought there were 4 different things to buy and one of the categories was 5 and the others were 25 .... doh !!

Oh well, glad I noticed my [edited]up in the first few days.  I hope it doesn't prevent me from completing all the sets.  I'd like to be able to buy some stuff from the store.

Edit: Correct spelling typo and to roll eyes at the fact that Male Hen is a forbidden word, Far Canal, Four Forks Ache :B

Well, I've just been buying the randoms for 5 tickets each, and received almost exactly what I want by today. The sunset and ocean base, and the Samurai Spirit inscription. With that said, I wish we could simply disable engravings...the base I got looks nice.

I don't see the point of spending tickets on dog tags full stop. I'll just spend my tickets at the end on consumables or equipment or whatever it was that WG said you could trade them for at the end of the event.

Heh but the trick is that you don't get access to that shop unless you collect all 105 components for the complete dog tag collection ;)

You need to unlock all the different designs before you unlock the shop

Remember, the more expensive it is, the better it is! Rolex is better than Rowleks even if they show the same time!

Rolex is quite interesting as a marketing example.  If you buy a £10,000 Rolex watch the costs are:

£1750 for Rolex to make the watch

£1750 Rolex branding/advertising

£1500 wholesaler

£5000 the shop

On the face of it it's a bit daft to pay £10,000 for a £1,750 watch, which is why I don't have one.  On the other hand they are quite nice watches and if you pay £10K for it you can re-sell it for the same or more, even decades later, unlike a car which rapidly depreciates to zero.

It is possible that WoT dogtags will at some point become worth more than zero.

There goes that idea then but I still don't really care about them too much. I will agree with OP though that if you want all components then you're better off spending 5 tickets for a random piece each time, assuming that you can't get duplicates.

Random pieces mean you can have utterly troll tags, like the Soviet Union Flag with VIVA LA FRANCE! Because it's all you have to use

I love how "soviet union flag is perfectly ok buy nazi germany flag is evil". I wonder if i would be considered evil if i commited genocide to 100 MILLION innocent civilians.

No one knows, and most don't care. However at the end you get goodies such as camo (which most experienced players have plenty of anyway) which are always gladly received
