Good day yall,

Im about to be done with my STA 1, TVP VTU and got Standard B.

I´d  love some feedback, suggestions or tips about these tanks.

For example what´s the best way to research the modules ( can u get turret or gun before getting the tracks etc.).

Regardless of everything I will get em, but would be lovely to get some input, before I jump head first into a dark cave.

Also , which one of the following was the most fun for you and which one would you recommend going for first.

Just talk about these 3 Meds please:

Type 61  (Jap)

Skoda 50  (Czk)

Standard B  (Ita)

Thank you all in advance

Best regards

Autobumba

I did the Stallion B recently. Nice part about this tank is you don't need the tracks to equip modules and I think most the modules are either the same weight as what they are replacing or are even lighter. So, get the top gun first since this is a massive boost to pen and alpha, then the turret so you have improved view range and a better handling gun, though gun handling is pretty good with stock turret unlike lets say a Leo PTA where the gun is trashy with stock turret. Then unlock the engine then lastly the tracks. Mobility is obviously a great asset for a paper tank like this but not as important as the ability to effectively deal damage so like I said, leave the engine then tracks until last and get the gun and turret first, just play it conservatively and hang back a bit while you grind the engine, you will still be a pretty effective damage dealing support unit until then.

Generally I prefer to go for gun before other modules as being a bit slow is preferable to not being able to fight effectively.

Ok regarding talking about your list

Skoda T50 Really but I feel too agressive in it

Type 61 I liked it, good gun, good depression, soft like the STA1 though.

Standard B,  Again love it I feel this is one of the better Tier 9s.

in order of preference. Standard B, Skoda, Type 61 burt depends on grinding order.

Yeah, I realized that as I looked at the weight of the modules, top gun is a bit heavier , but the turret is lighter. 15k away from the top gun. Thanks

This is what free exp is for, T8/9 modules. However if you've spent it on the wrong stuff :teethhappy: then gun first as others have said .

The tanks? well T50 is probably my favourite T9 med, i didn't really like the standard B (cant get used to the reloaders) and the Type 61 was....annoying. It isn't quite fast enough to be a great tank as for some reason my accuracy is below all of my other T9 meds.

Type 61 is the best pure medium tank I've ever played. It's just brilliant.

Škoda T50 is a good tank, but the autoloader requires you to have support nearby.

I haven't played the Standard B yet.

As already said.. I have the Standard B right now.

I think I´ll get the Type61 next, as its the top of the month tree aswell.
What about module research on the Type 61?

Type 61 - alright

Skoda - good

Standard - really good

None of them will disappoint you. As for looking one step ahead the Czech line probably have the weakest ending.

Type 61 - Worst t9 med for me with Cent.

Skoda - Great autoloader medium, being situational requiers more skill than non-autoloaders.

Standard - Couldn't make it work, but some say its the best med out of all t9s. Dpm limits me too much to enjoy it to the fullest.

Regarding the modules what I usually do is going for the gun first.

Unfortunately, that sometimes means you need to get some modules before (turret to be able to mount a gun) and there is nothing you can do about it.

However, changing modules from stock to upgraded might mean that they are getting heavier and you can hit the weight limit without researching the tracks as well. You can get close to the max without noticing, but then you cant mount the equipment that adds more weight.

So, when you ask what the module to research first - everyone should look at the weights as well, and be careful not to exp the modules that can’t be mounted due to the weight limit.

Well, of course, the workaround is the free-exp to research everything - or install the "suspension equipment" (springs/suspension/torsion/washers - whatever the name is) to solve the problem. Yes, you are losing one equipment slot (and 10 gold if you demount the gear later) but usually, the gun makes up for it.

I am very well aware of the number of games that you have played so you should know all the tricks in the book, but there are new players reading this so someone might find this useful.

Id say of the 3 type 61 is the weakest despite the recent buffs. Its just a bit too slow for what it is (huge totally paper medium with no camo). Basically the platform doesnt fit the gun. On one hand you have fairly potato gun so you should play in close/mid range to be able to actually hit something, but when you go mid/close range you get outsnapshotted by everything because you are huge with huge cupola and no armor anywhere. When you redline then you dont hit anything reliably, you still get outspotted by everything but then you are also too slow to move up when needed. So its super awkward to play. But the good thing is you dont really have to free xp the top gun, but instead have to free xp the tracks and the turret so its definitely a better grind than skoda, which is super aids to grind from stock. Dunno about standard, never grinded through it.

What Bora_Boom says.

On top, go to tanks.gg and mess around with modules and equipment and check whether it matches the weight limits, like

- Type 61 stock tracks, stock radio, stock engine, top turret, top gun => does not fit, even without any equipment

- Skoda T 50 stock tracks, stock engine, top turret, top gun, top radio => fits also with equipment

- Standard B stock tracks, top everything else => fits with equipment

Yup, I do think that.

Edit// Skoda is actually only one of my t9 autoloaders that manages more than average dpg. Emill, t54e1 etc. all do few 100 less.

Both Standard B and Skoda are great.

They're so good that I doubt the merit of upgrading to T10 on either line.

Be warned, T9 modules are insanely expensive....

I only had the Skoda, but the way to go for that one is free xp. Really. Don't even bother with the stock guns. Just accumulate enough free xp to get the autoloader. At the very least get the 2nd 100mm.

Standard B is probably one of the very best t9 tanks. Some people that are more brawly might dislike it tho. It in some way (at least to me) obsoletes the Skoda. The Skoda in its own right is a very good t9 tank but they really fulfill the same niche and the Standard B does it much more flexible.

The type 61 is a bit different but also good. I think it would need some more armor or a bigger mantlet. It is a bit to squishy to play up close but the guns leans towards up fron action. It leads to a very good T10 tho as does the Standard B.

It is t9, free xp everything!

Standard B > Both

Type 61 > Skoda if you have Standard B

Skoda > Type 61 if you do not have Standard B :)
