Sometimes there is [was] events/missions that require platoons.

Yeah i remember this, there was a mission in campaign if I'm not mistaken.

Required to do 3k damage, alone, or in a platoon (correct me if I'm wrong).

The first stages of personal missions had at first missions you had to do in platoons. Then they changed them so you could do it solo, but you needed a fairly good carry game or lots of luck early on. As it was either lots of damage, assist or a few kills in the first 2 min etc. It was just easier in a platoon. Thus for those that were not in a clan etc, dynamic platoons were the next best thing to complete those.

Now that those missions are gone and replaced with easier solo missions. The only reason now is simply to get a cheap brothers in arms etc.

Yeah which added another death nail (not the biggest thing) into any chance WN9 had to be a success. :teethhappy:

Well platoons are useful in some positions, imagine if you find a good player (let's say blue player), and u r also blue, won't you like to play some battles together? :)

Sometimes it worked for me, and when i see a good player performing good enough, sure. I'll platoon with him to carry some games(if possible) and win.

Oh, I see some ask others in the same tank etc if they want to platoon together for a bit to ease the pain of either a bad streak, or just to have someone watching your back in a terrible grind. And more so then not they get a positive reply. And that's ofc one side of it. But I suspect it's the least used side of it for most.

Lol, well to ease it's one side for sure.

But my main idea is to have good battles and to avoid fast loses, the more good players in one side, the higher chance you have to win a battle ofc!. :D

actually the point is you might find a player you work well with, have a few laughs and then eventually end up in a clan

I would not call team killer a good player or invite him into a platoon.

Used to be missions, no idea if there's still platoon based missions.

The only times I use them now is when I meet a (former) clan member in a battle. Or if someone desperately wants a BIA.
