During these events are you able to obtain all required tags from just doing the random battle missions that are presented during the event or do you HAVE to participate in the addition game modes that will be available for short whiles?

I would guess so. As you need 105 components to get to the end. And if you take away the event titles and tags. You have less than 105. Thus you can't get to the max rank. How much you need to do in each event to get said tags and titles is a different matter.

Event tags aren't counted in the 105, neither is the "Special Base" you get from collecting 65. It is simply going to be harder to get those tickets needed for the components if you miss out on tickets handed out on the events.

Incase of FL you'll only miss 20 tickets = 4 components.

I must be more tired then I thought as my brain can't even add "24 hour shift". As indeed it does add up to 105 when you don't count those... again. So I guess no you don't have to. Even so... You get to 105 faster if you indeed Inc the tickets you get from FL. No idea if racing etc will have it.

So if you do skip events and the tickets there. Then ofc you can't miss out on many random tickets. As you need 490 tickets to get everything "via randoms only" mnius the default tags etc. Tho if it does last 8 weeks. Inc the 5 daily missions for 7 and weekends for 30. That's 520 tickets if my math is still not way off and I just did a second sleepy brain fart.

If the event does run the full 2 months ending Oct 7th we get 43 days & 9 weekends = 301 + 270 > 571 tickets from weekly missions alone.

At the start you were given 5 for free and 5 tickets to try out the "crafting mechanic" so the amount needed is 99x5 = 495

Question. How do we unlock the store exactly? I'm under the impression I have to unlock all dog tag components, which are the 4 different parts(I think 4 maybe 3 or 5 I cant remember or care) and once we do that we get to use the store? Well, I was pretty sure I picked up and unlocked a component from each "class" like the image and the backing, signature thingy... whatever else goes on that tag and yet the store has a padlock symbol on it so I can't buy anything.

So where am I going wrong and misunderstanding what's required? Reason I'm asking is I'm getting lots of components from the hunter game mode and looking back I guess I wasted a load of tickets purchasing things I would have ended up winning to unlock the store and I don't want to waste any more tickets needless when all I might need to do is something simple you guys know about and save me wasting more tickets stupidly.

That's the "problem" - people count the tickets to complete the dog tag collection, but they forget that they need additional tickets to get the items from the shop. Meaning, you are not just grinding tickets for tag, but you also grind tickets for the shop. So while it is possible to unlock the shop just with the daily and weekly tickets, you might be short on tickets to get the items form the shop that you might be really after, if you don't collect tickets in FL and SH and Chaffee race, etc.

That's the issue about people completing SH already after a day or three and stop playing it, but missing out on all the SH tickets for the next two weeks. If they played it slowly, 5-10 battles a day; how many tags do we get in SH per day? Was it just 2 or 6? 2 wouldn't change much, ~40 tickets / 8 tags, with 6 that's already ~120/24.

Whether that's a "real" concern, and whether tags and the items in the shop are worth the effort, everybody can answer for himself.

Don't want anything from shop, just wanted to make sure I could complete the event via just the random tickets.

The paint jobs are stupid high in cost.

Unlock all dog tag components = all 105 of them to gain access to the store. (event and special components don't count)

You're confusing bonds with event tickets, the daily number of tickets you get from the Steel Hunter is 2 and the total for the whole event is 42 which is enough for a whopping 8 components.

In the end getting a camo or two for having to play more than one hour every single day for two months straight is just a joke, especially since there is basically a hard daily limit for the tickets and you cant get like 100 tickets in 1 day even if you wanted :)

WG is simply turning everything in the game into grinds that are 2-4 times longer than id be willing to bother with these days considering the reward vs enjoyment of actually playing the game (modes). Maybe 4-7 years ago id be willing to play that much (or id play that much on my own without any incentives)

If my quick maff is right, by only playing randoms you'll get little over 500 tickets (516?), so lets say 103 components

+ you got 6 standard components at the start

+ you get 7 components as the rewards for collecting components

So yes, doable with only randoms, especially if you accept daily missions from festival fair.

Well I have made a complete cats sit upon with these...

Spent 150 tickets on the bases etc I wanted without realising that I could have just got the random components for 5 tickets....

Think it's a case of RTFM....

I'm confused. (and yes, I've watched the video here: https://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/general-news/tank-festival-start/)

I have 107 tickets so far.

In my dog tag collection, I have 5 out of 105 components.

There are four sections: Bases, Engravings, Inscriptions and titles.

A base, for example 50 tickets and I presume that is '1 component'.

So does this mean I need to buy 105 components each at a cost of 50 tickets which will be 5,250 tickets.

I've only earned 107 in a week so either I have misunderstood or I am not earning as many as I could.

Also, jack_timber mentioned above how you can generate a random component for just 5 tickets so that saves 45 tickets per component.

So if I do this wisely I can generate 21 components out of my 107 tickets of I do it randomly?

Even so, it will take weeks to get 105 components at this rate.

Ark'

Slow and grueling grind seems to be the new fad at their offices so it's exactly what they want it to be to presumably help keep people logging in daily.

5 ticket random components are the best way to, although 107 does sound like a low amount so you may have already fallen out of the pace.

To give you an idea:

  • At this point if the grind you could have collected 126 from daily missions, 120 from weekend missions, 20/prestige from Frontlines, 12 from Steel Hunter, 8 from Festival Fair

totaling to 286 or more depending on how much FL you were able to grind.

You forgot the chaffee races. There will be also some tickets.
