Hi,

After a break I'm back to the game in casual mode.

I want to play new tanks I didn't played before, but I don't want to grind that much so I'd like to stop at tier 8 max (or before if there's a good tank to keep at T6/7).

Tanks I have in my garage:

Russia: ISU-152, LTTB, Obj 416 (thinking about selling it as I don't like it a lot....), IS-3, IS-7, Obj 140, S-51

US: T49, T 28 Prot, T29, T110E5, M44

Germany: St Emil (want to get RBWT), Panther (I'll stop here), E100 (unlocked but not bought)

Swedish: Emil I

UK: Cromwell, Achilles (want Charioteer)

France: AMX M4 45 (want AMX 50-100)

Japan: O-I Exp (not sure where to stop on this line, T7 ?)

Italia: P43 (want P44)

I don't want new SPG or TD, only LT/MT/HT.

Here are the options I consider:

  • French LT: I'm at AMX 12t on this line, and AXM 13 75 and Bc 12t seems good from what I've read
  • UK MT: as I have the Cromwell, I unlocked the Comet so I could go to the Centurion I. Not sure if is worth it.
  • UK HT: I'm at T5 only on this branch, but the grind seems hard to get to T8...
  • Poland: I grinded to T4 and stop, it's awfull...
  • Germany: I didn't played the P line. The T8 (VK1001P) seems great, but the grind at T7 seems very large and painfull

From this list, the one that appeal me the most is french LT.

Any advice ?

French lights are probably the most enjoyable line to grind with the option to get the good follow up tanks after the BC 12t.

UK meds are ok, and the Cent is solid.

UK HT are a tough grind with a good T8.

Poland needs freeXP for guns (and a lot of it), but is ok'ish at T5+ with the improved guns, the T8 is nice.

Tiger P grind is not so much fun. VK 100 is nice though.

Thanks, I think I'll go for the french lights first.

Next should be the UK MT and HT. Which one to do first ? Do they share modules ?

Hm, from a quick glance, the best Gun on the Tier V Churchill I is the same as for the Cromwell Tier VI MT. And the same is true for the Tier VI HT and the Tier VII MT.

There are shared radios for all tanks and some of the engines are also shared for the HT, and also the MTs have similar engines.

I do not have a great guide on that, but it seems that you can reduce the grind significantly, by unlocking guns with the tanks you like and getting extra unlocks for other tanks.

It looks, that the best way would be Crusader -> Cromwell -> Churchill I -> Comet -> Churchill VII

However, there is a trick to make the Black Prince grind more sufferable... that would be grinding the through the Sherman III and the Sherman Firefly, because the Firefly's top gun is the Black Prince top gun.

So... a bit confusing and complex :teethhappy:

Thanks for the advice, I didnt noticed there's so much shared modules between these lines !

And I wanted to try the Firefly so it would be a good idea to grind it first.

French LT line is really joyful, and gameplay is like the same, so everytime you grind new tier its like better and better tank, with more possibilities. 13 75 is almost perfect, but has small amount of ammo, and bat-chat 12t has one minus - only 210 pen APCR, but has a lot of ammo.

Then, Caernarvon is the best heavy tank in tier 8, DPM is out of this world. If you manage to somehow get through craps like Churchill and then playable Black Prince, you have icing on the cake at tier 8 :)
