7 players in from the same clan in solo mode and surprisingly they all were in top 7, could not had guessed.

This is beyond irritating, this is just ridiculous...

Seem normal to me. I had this band of 3 players that weren't shooting at each other, but gunning for me. I made them work for the kill, got 2 of them killed in the red zone while the 3rd one manage to finish me off. I was in 2nd place lol. My heart was pounding fast the whole time, I was like "oh hell no!"

I had the same experience just now in solo mode,

5 players were hunting me driving next to each other and only shooting me.

And we can't create replay of it happening so reporting is pretty much impossible.

Well done WG

Actually the support answered me that they will investigate this as they are all from the same clan

You better off simply not bothering at night after about 10pm.. As I've just had it, 6 players basically surrounding the danger zone ignoring each other, If i can see them with the radio detection? They can see each other..

After how many years WG still haven't put a basic 'Are Players in the same Clan but not in platoon? Yes they can't be put in the same match! Only one of them goes in, the other one has to wait for another match!'

In the MM..

 Very simply coding..

Of course it won't get rid of rigging complete as there are sister clans and alliancies..

Pretty blatant stuff, would perhaps warrant an official response from WGEU as well. WGNA was looking into it. Three days for the first offense, and was it three weeks for the second or third? :D

Anyway, I imagine this won't be easy to catch. Maybe if you recorded someone obviously cooperating, but it's not like you couldn't simply camp somewhere close to each other for most of the game, and just "happen to" help each other out if someone ventured nearby. Simple survival would probably earn you a chevron.

In Na they are clamping down as follows:

Penalties for Teaming Offenses

  • 1st attempt: 3 days' game ban
  • 2nd attempt: 7 days' game ban
  • 3rd attempt: Game ban until the end of Steel Hunter; minimum of 7 days (may continue even after the end of the event)

How to Report Teaming Offenses

Since Steel Hunter doesn't allow in-game replays, the only way to report Teaming offenses is through stream recordings.

Please send a ticket to our Customer Support team with the following information:

  • Reported player IGNs
  • Link to a stream video (Youtube, Twitch, etc) with timestamp (e.g. from XX:00 ~ XX:00) of the relevant offense
  • Screenshot of the final leaderboard of the match

suppose if wg gets enough tickets about same people/clans it will be obvious enough of rigging, and mostly if those same clan guys are at top

do hope wg takes good actions against those riggers, just plain stupid that people try make up for their incompetence this way by rigging. it isnt even that hard to be top 10-15 or so

anyways best advise to people seeing riggers just make a ticket with endgame result in it and hope for the best

Well funny story from my last match. I found two in the Rattlesnake that turned out to be in the same clan. I pushed on them as they were both low HP and set one on fire and I rammed the other.

Got a rage PM after the match from one. After a reply or two, they said it was allowed. As WG did it on their Gamescom stream. And sure enough, Dakillzor and Eekeeboo teamed up in solo mode to group up on others. So I suspect WG showing the first impression of the game, more or less indicated it was "fine".

While I have run in to 1 or 2 players on my friend list while playing Steel Hunter.

I would not say that this automatic would be friendlier towards them, just more respectful because I know that I would need a bit more that the starting ammo to take them down.

So we would run way from one another to gather resources and 2nd time we ran in to one another it was kill or be killed.

And I did nearly run out of ammo in that fight.

The is of course a easy way to fix the worst of this problem.

This just makes detecting riggers harder. They do cooperate via VoIP so it does not stop them rigging the matches...

So I sent a few of the leaderboard screenshots to support where this was clearly happening and they have told me they need screenshots of the teaming up in game, during the battle.

So bear that that in mind, if you see it, spam your screenshot button and then sent it all to support with a screenshot of the leaderboard.

I'd reckon that probably getting to 25 took me 10 games longer at least because of this problem.

Losing chevrons mechanic never appealed to me as a fun mode.

In Steel Hunter, you have that kind of principle and competition for meh prizes.

On top of that, there is rigging?

Good that I have decided not to play this mode.

This CLAN behavior is not admissible. Its starting to be a theme when it comes to marathons.

Time to start banning the rigging clans

I don't really understand what the point of rigging this game mode is? Every game adds 10 chevrons to the system, and it's not difficult to obtain new ranks by playing alone.

I absolutely could not see the point of this game mode when tested it on the first day. I read the news article with thought and tested it again and found out that the game mode is really good & entertaining.  Only thing which is disgusting is that you might lose 2 chevrons because of sub 50% sh1tters cannot win in the platoon game mode and try to rig the solo mode.
