I randomly chose to play wot again after so many years, if you look at my stats you'll realize im a red player, guess why, I was 11 years old when I started lmao.

in any case now I suddenly am into arties, are they even worth it anymore, if so which tree.

and what is the meta now, I realize when I was kid I used to play all heavy and td, but that was my biggest mistake none of them are fun, meds had most advantage and fun u know switchable play style mobility srsly helps, are they still like that.

i also regret spending my childhood on wot, ffs, this is my 1st account I have 3k battles on 2nd, also anyone watched re:zero here ?

It depends om whether your idea of fun is sitting in one spot at the back of the map and left clicking every now and again.

Arty is great fun nothing better than dropping a large shell on one or more tanks.

If I had a favourite line it has to be the American arty, M44 at T6 is really good, 16 second reload, M55 at T9 is a good all-rounder with the T92 probably the hardest hitter but slow to relocate.

You enjoy what you want to play, I do....

You said it yourself. Mediums are the most fun. Mobility with a good gun always makes for enjoyment. Arty is for missions....

US turreted TDs are immense fun. Russian IS line is really good. US mediums are good. British mediums excell at the fast moving, fast firing gameplay. Cromwell and Comet are both very enjoyable.

Good hull down tanks can be satisfying. Centurions, US heavies and mediums, Russian heavies are all good at that.

Most fun for me are the Skorpion G which is mobile and has a "haha your dead" gun. Kanon 105 with it's ability to get about the battlefield and it's laser accuracy, T20 US medium with it's awesome gun handling and the T67 which is so OP for it's tier it's ridiculous.

Edit: Almost forgot the most satisfying tank in the game (when the battle goes the right way for it) has to be the ISU-152. It pens everything and has massive Alpha. Takes huge chunks of HP away with every hit. Makes me laugh out loud sometimes...:)

I still enjoy SPG more than the twichtank classes. SPG is more the professional planning sniper class, and if mechanics could be made to make it independent of the rock luggers it could be more strategic.

But a world of whiner NPCs have ruined its awesomeness.

I` m sure that you aim and hit weakspots on tanks within a couple of seconds , as you " the professional planning sniper class " are. Or , in real world  , load gold HE and MISS any target by 5m and still do 500 dmg , as you " the professional planning sniper class " are.

ye thanks, I currently trying su-15 something arty but unlike before it's damage is really trash, maybe it's because I dont have the good gun yet idk. either way what bugged me from getting brits or us arties is ... tier 1-5, most of my 8k battles are those tiers so you can bet im sick of it, but also the queue times seem to be way higher than before. well couple of years ago I stopped playing so.

i've had best time of my life in t67, kv-2 and isu know the feeling

I played t92 a lot on test server one shotted couple of batchats, good times. even one shotted a heavy tank once in fv183, :( why they had to remove it

but yeah, unless it has a really big gun or is insanely good like t67, I wouldn't play it. unfortunately most tanks are exactly that. even if I want to get fv4002 I have to suffer rest of the tree

Yea, a 46% player who has 54% a win rate in a M44 arty, no wonder you like arty.

If you have any self respect don't play arty by choice.

For missions yeh ok just about excusable.

But anything else no, it's a zero challenge, easy mode, broken, poorly balanced class that is hated by most of the playerbase and negatively impacts the game. By choosing to play arty you are choosing to make the game worse for other players and become a target of hate.

Nothing damages vehicles through non destructible walls, you can however splash a tank who's hiding behind a wall if you fire adjacent or behind the wall.

Arty has changed since you probably last played it, it doesn't do anywhere near the damage it used to, especially when you are firing at heavily armoured targets. Its now about combining damage with the damage your team mates inflict while you have a target stunned or tracked to achieve decent XP.

Its worth playing if you liked it before, a less 'hectic' play experience where you can think about whats happening in the battle as a whole and try to edge things in your teams favour where your'e needed most.

Current world of tanks meta is called ''Waiting meta''

It's the type of gameplay where no one wants to move because no one wants to get hit by arty or by camping TD's who can do 900-2000 damage in a shot or pepper you with lots of 400dmg shots every few seconds and you can't spot them even 60 meters away from the bush. So no one flanks, no one advances and no one wants to take the hits.

The game is actually getting more and more boring to be honest.

arty depends on maps and amount of bots or muppets in your team
