Hi,

I would be glad if you changed your policy to make public board with bans and other penalties given to players and clans.

As it looks like we report someone in game or using support tiket and then it looks like nothing happens. Its so flustrating..

Recently i reported 6 members of one clan due to manipulated battle in steel hunter, and support replies that they are sorry i met such player (one player!).

It really feels that some people can do whatever whatever rules are. Does they even get some punishment if 5 players were already liberated?

Public lynching was a common thing in the wild west, but in this silly age we like to protect the offenders' "privacy rights"...

That's a load. Soon as you break the rules you've thrown every last right you had out the window! :izmena:

I was not talking about public lynching, its should be still wg thing to give bans. What i am talking about is, that there should be board where these punishment should be written. Public lynching will be something like giving his account and anybody can take whaever likes, so thats far away..

And even in this silly age you can sue anybody for anything and you know result, but not in wg.

The forum is pretty irrelevant now. Most discussion goes on in other places like Discord. The WG Discord isn't that good, but there are many clan related Discords around where you can have free and easy discussions without any of the challenges this forum brings.

Discord is no fun at all without the ever present threat of shady moderation.  Walking the line is my raison d'etre.

I recently got a 1 week forum ban for naming & shaming.  The mistake I'd made was to quote the OP of that particular thread which did indeed name & shame someone from a you tube video, so I'd thought that horse had already bolted.  Turns out WG were still determined that shutting the gate would be a useful action.

There you go, I've just named & shamed myself for being an idiot.  Hope it made them happy, much like my next upcoming ban for mentioning moderation will make the mods feel they actually serve some purpose here.  I always aim to please, although tbf a permanent ban seems to be more my aim these days.

Well, Steve (wallst06 from YT Honest Gaming) was reported and his IGN was changed  to RenamedUser_5616465whatever just because he dared to change his name to 0XYM0R0N.

I was once banned from a game forum, not this one I hasten to add, for the heinous crime of "being too clever".

I think that was the highlight of my online experience.

I do have an old account here under the name of FarCall, which, rather surprisingly, passed muster.

In about 20 years of online gaming I've had one and only one person come back two weeks after reporting them to scream at me for getting them suspended.  It had been pretty obvious it was me reporting them as nobody else was involved.  With the way most (I'm not sure with WG) reporting systems that group of six people reporting you is more likely to have something done then your one report against each of them.  It's like a reverse popularity contest!  I have actually been chat banned in another game because I stood up for a minority group against...well a non minority in "that" region by saying the same thing about them as they'd just said about the minority, votes count.

I was allowed to use 'FurkhamHall' on a forum, when I told them it was my address.

And then banned for changing it to '*edited*

There's no pleasing some folks.

I guess WG just care for income from 6 player vs one hero.

Yes saw his youtube post I really hope they banned that mod permanently. Honest gaming ( steve ) even contacted eekeeboo the main guy on here to get it sorted. Guess what,  IT WAS NOT !

Sounds familiar?

Wargaming unable to fix even the most basic thing, so maybe wargaming need to be renamed to …………………………………………………….. OXYMORON !!!

If Eek couldn't change it my guess is that WG use an automated system that simply prohibits certain words wherever they appear in a username.  If so I can't see that as being much of a problem.  There's no shortage of names to use.

The thought never crossed my mind.  Scunthorpe, the Venice of the North, has immortalised itself as a known issue:

Mayby you should watch it. The first though was that the moderator is some sort of automated warning and banning system. Later on they discovered that the moderator is human/ power creep....
