Sprouts will need to be provided by the person :( France appears to have a sprout shortage, fish on the other hand... all the fish you could ever want!

Unfortunately, being a Community Manager here in WoT seems to be significantly different comparing to other game companies. Combination of all of the obvious privileges & duties & staff background just makes it strongly unattractive to everybody who has already occupied this position in any other company. Required in-house in Paris is also a problem (considering this job's daily routine). However, I wish you to finally find the person willing to join and (what's the most important) stay.

Such things as free coffee is a must-have nowadays btw. :D

Hi, my first action as community manager is to eliminate RNG, increase accuracy, cap arty to 1 per side and only once every 4 matches, make chatbanned people able to write in platoonchat or in private messages with their friends, make amend on behalf of the company for having destroyed the forum community during the years and remove the protection for players with less than 49% win ratio.

Ah, I can do it from home.

I was just starting to think the position was so unimportant it was removed completely...

I do have some questions, Mr. Eekeeboo.

- Under what circumstances did the previous holder of the English CM position leave? Was he promoted, like we are led to believe? Is Wargaming EU truly the career path it seems like?

- Whilst I realize that there's no education specific for 'community manager', what background do other, and previous, CMs have? I'm guessing gaming industry, obviously, but aside from that?

- How long has this position been open for?

- What are the responsibilities of the CM position? I get the obvious ones, and of course organizing events and whatnot, but what else is there behind the curtain? Any fun stuff, or is it just numbers and statistics (which, I guess, would be fun for some)?

- What sort of free coffee do you offer? I would be hesitant to accept anything but 'cowboy coffee' (boiling water in a pot, adding grounds, and let them settle before pouring). I'm not hopeful, of course.

- What sort of 'alternating shifts' are we talking about? Weekends, obviously, but late nights, early mornings...?

- About the requirements, I do know a particular person that would be perfect for the job - he has ample experience running a Discord community (with an iron fist, which I'm sure you may appreciate), as well as truly expert knowledge on both the community (the official forums in particular) and the game. He, however, has unfortunately been subjected to a, sort-of long-term, forum ban. Is that a disqualifying trait?

Being an ex-moderator under the management of two different English CM's, i know some of the things an English CM had to do and put up with. It certainly would be a case of 'Join the Dark Side'.

Or in pirates speak 'Cross my palms with gold' and we shall see what happens :)

Emmmm eekeboo is the previous English CM, and it's Lord, not Mr.

It just so happens I will be seeking new employment early next year but Paris puts me off.  Could WG be persuaded to move to Bradford?

The implication is whether or not 'video manager' (the exact title of our dear Lord escapes me) is a promotion, though obviously meant to lead him onto the fact that getting up and into the ranks of Wargaming is a real possibility - which is more than you can say for a lot of places.

If memory serves right, Lord Eekeeboo might be both patriotic enough to hate Paris as well as from a crappy enough place in the Isles to be convinced that WG should move their English CMs.

Not an expert on where in Britain you'd want to live, though, it may or may not be pure hearsay from filthy Northeners that he comes from a crummy place.

Why they don't take the opportunity to advertise this as based in Paris OR Guilford is beyond me.....what's the point in having an English office if you put the English CM in France. The uncertainty over the potential Brexit implications needs to be considered in this respect too....shortly after being hired the person may find they aren't permitted to work in EU.

According to Glassdoor, community manager gets 35k per year :( Quite low considering all the stress, I hope there are other benefits (i.e. bonus for selling TVP T27) :hiding:
