Not overly surprising in this case, it's one of the rarest premiums to have been sold on the premium shop (only 4,201 owners in EU up until yesterday, and it's been in the shop 2x in the last 12 months, compared to 114,000 IS-2 Berlins)

If the tanks GG stats are accurate I am really not seeing the point of the modernisation,
Frontally the IS IS2 and IS2-M seem very similar from the side the M version has some spaced armour on the front half of the upper hull and across the entire track area.
Its got 35 shells compared to 28 a smaller engine 600 compared to 700 on the IS then the usual better terrain resistances so the performance is similar
I guess if I didn't already have an IS-2 I would consider this version but only if it had a BIA crew like the IS-2
Its a mobile heavy tank with a very effective gun

It is indeed very similar to IS-2, also when it comes to the play style.
Also, an interesting alternative if someone wants to have a Soviet premium tank but does not feel like going for the more pricey tier VIII.

Or feel spoiled when seeing the KV-2® is roughly the same price than the IS-2M, so take the IS-2M instead ![]()
