XVM is quite toxic.

Quite often there's a "gg loss" at the beginning, because XVM tells bad odds of winning, and then people may just suicide, yet those people are the ones missing for winning the game. This is happening far more frequently than the cascading effect team damage lead to, yet you removed team damage, but didn't made XVM illegal.

 

It's time XVM becomes an illegal mod, please blacklist it.

Just no.

 

In 62k Games i have rarely ever come across anyone doing this at the start. And the few times i have, i check. and guess what? They do not have XVM installed. As XVM tells you who else has XVM. The player base is the problem. Not the mod, the mod is just an easy scapegoat for most people to use.

Firstly, XVM is a lot more than just in game stats. It has useful features that many think should be part of the vanilla game. The in game stats part is what you are asking to get rid of, not the whole of XVM.

 

Even though I'd like XVM in game stats side to go away, the whole ''gg loss'' thing isn't just about XVM. When that whole thing happens, I've asked many times why they say that and if it's because XVM. More often than not it's not about XVM but it can be; top tier tanks being ''bad'', team going to ''wrong positions'', one team having more premiums, one team having more clan players, spawning on ''wrong/losing side'' of the map. No matter if XVM stats were taken away, the certain people would still yell ''gg loss'' at the start of the battle based on countless of different reasons.

XVM is way more than just  predicting the win chance I don't even have that bit turned on.

 

Who really listens to someone typing we lose or some such at the start I ignore it just like all the map clicking and demands people play a particular way/

There is no way to know the skill level of these twopenny generals so why worry what they say.

Removing xvm does not prevent idiots being idiotic any more than removing the ability to chat with the enemy team removed toxic chat.

I tried xvm a while back for a week, I didnt like it, so took it back off, but that dont mean to say that anyone who does like it should not have it. Ref the chat, mine is turned off, so I never hear what anyone has to say anyway.

But could we finally start actively making the difference between XVM and XVM in game stats? Absolutely no reason to get rid of XVM as a whole when the in game stats are the ''problem''. Quotations because it's the toxic people who use them as a tool to be toxic in the game who are the problem.

Team lists you can see in the first 30 seconds. Team positions, or where they are initially going can be seen right after the counter hits 0 and that's when some people indeed say the ''gg loss'' phrase.

why allow toxic people to use a tool that makes them even more toxic?

Sometimes they just suicide themselves, sometimes others suicide because of that... both cases hurt the team...

Its a team based game without skill MM or some kind of borders(leagues) that seperate the zombies from the living(or at least mark them) and stock tanks from elite ones. Something like XVM needs to be there, because you have to rely on your teammates from time to time, but it should only work for your own team you shouldn't know what kind of enemies you got until you meet them in battle.

XVM offers an unfair advantage in decision making over the stand alone vanilla client.  It also brings more toxicity to the game than any other source.  I vote get rid of it.

Sadly I doubt that blocking XVM will eliminate that. If they get a loss streak, that other mentality takes over XVM or not. And the "bot team again?" question comes, followed by camping base doing nothing. Because everyone was bad that day, and nothing he does will make him win. I've seen that more of late then "gg, 25% win chance". So no... XVM is not even half of it.

We could but we are probably not going to. Because just as with "gold" for premium ammunition it's short, snappy and ingrained. And your last sentence makes me think of the topic of friendly fire.
