Hello there!

Today I wanted to post a battle today that had some real intensity at the end, where I was up against a cheesewedge (103-0) in my T30.

We won, but it was seriously close.

(The battle)

But that is not the thing I wanted to highlight, as the battle you've seen can happen to anyone. It was the post battle results(in spoilers ofc):

Spoiler

That enemy 103-0 who got 4.5k went out of his way to congratulate me for the battle. I was really happy and I also congratulated him.

Thank goodness WoT still has some senblance of humanity!

Nice battle and kudos to the gentleman in the Strv, he played very smart too.

One old trick i want to remind you of. Remember the 'R' when you're about to take a shot? It limits the speed of the tank and mitigates the full bloom of the gun reticle. :)

I actually happen to know of that trick, but I use it on my KV-2 most of the time.

maybe I should start using it on other tanks too!

doesn't hurt to learn new stuff after all

KV-2, IS, IS-3, T49, etc. basically any tank with high dispersion values. The T95 got this feature built in, it's in first gear all the time. :teethhappy:

Whoa, I didn't know about that R thing... so you are driving along and want to fire, press R and your speed drops and so does the Recticule size? Is that right?

There are 3 gears or 3 'R' presses. Each one with a speed limit. Usually you press 'W' and the tank accelerates until it reaches its maximum speed. That also means that the gun reticle reaches its maximum dispersion or bloom.

If you limit the speed just before you take a shot, the reticle bloom is therefore limited and it's easier to snap a shot. Say you're on a corner about to peek and shoot. You put the aim point on the target and come out using one 'R', shoot and retreat at full speed using 'S'. It needs some practice but it helps delivering accurate fire while avoiding damage.

There is an indicator with 3 horizontal green strips in the tank status window in the lower left corner. It shows which gear you're in.
