Hi all. I finally finished my first set of StuG IV missions (Medium Tanks) and got a female crew member. I was thinking of starting the Jap medium line but I've heard dreadful things about it.

What is a line you would recommend me? I'm kinda more into Mediums, but I'm open for anything.

Thanks.

Personally, I really like the Japanese mediums. However, it might be a good idea to save those for later. Played well, they can be quite fun, but small mistakes are deadly. American mediums are fairly similar, but a lot more sturdy. Alternatively, you could start with the Russian medium line going up to the 430U. Beginner friendly and mostly quite competitive.

At any rate, save your girl for later. Try some lines, see what you like and then decide in which tank to put her.

The Italian med line is very solid. But take my suggestion as a grain of salt

jap MT line is awful till you get STA1

personally i would go with italian MT line or with russian t3485-t43-t44-obj430/t54, both being pretty solid lines without much stinkers to grind trough

other mention worthy MT to me would be; e50, cz t9/10 autoloaders, cent71, bc25t, vk3001p, vk3002d

Russian obj series are the best med tanks. Great camo and good gun with accuracy.i haven't tried italian but i see them performing well in the battle. I don't recomend  usa meds. Pershing is too much pain to grind.

New Swedish line could be fine.

How long is a piece of string?

How do you define any line to be fun?

One definite stinker to avoid is the Brit heavies.

US mediums are solid but slow until you get to the T20 which is awesome. (avoid the M3 Lee at all costs. Bypass it any way you can). Can't say after that.

Italians are a joy. Superb tanks all the way through. P43 and P43/Bis are especially good at their tier and the Pantera is a beauty with it's three shot autoloader.

I hate facing anything in the T34-85 line so that must mean they are good and the new Swedish mediums seem very capable.

For me, Italian all the way.

Sit on the girl crews and explore your choices with YouTube, forums and Test Servers so you can make an informed choice.

I've grinded Patton, Bat Chat, Object 140, Standard B, E50 and Skoda T50 with the 430U coming as my higher tier lines. That's given me a good spread of different styles of play.

Pick a line with a number of classes, eg. American TDs. That way if you decide American TDs are not your thing you can always move your girl across into something else like an American medium or light instead. Japanese mediums are OK, but if it turns out you don't like them you have little other options.

Also commanders need the most skills so always assign your girl crews as commanders on keeper tanks.

Progetto line is good in general (tier V sucks, tier VI sucks but it's playable), If you're into Heaviums, 277 or WZ 111 5A.

If you like heavies then go Japanese or Maus line they're easy grinds and simple to play
