Has anyone else had any problem with bans not working? I keep banning a map but it doesn't seem to remain banned. I think I'm banning the wrong map anyway.

Only works in random battles...not the other modes.

Or one of the many forum threads previously raised on the subject. I think people are getting tired of pointing out that it only works for standard battles and not assault  blah blah blah,

Bans don't seem to work if you're in a team, or rather, the leader of the platoon gets banned. His maps banned, I mean. You don't get banned. :D

How to ban is very confusing. It's all greek to me. I think someone who's omnicompetent in bans from WG should explain it. I keep banning the wrong maps. It's like I'm a different person as soon as I click ban.

There's a thread like this every single week.

What's wrong with people?

I'd be patient if I were you. They don't always have time to respond. Sometimes they make a sweep across the forums. Maybe you'll get a response then.

Or, perhaps, do you propose that all maps selected by a team of three should get banned? I guess that would require too much time and energy, even if those were incredibly similar maps.

*sigh*

This again?

How about I'll not be a jerk about it this time and simply list for the OP what he should check for:

1: banned maps only work from a certain tier upwards (lowtiers are exempt).

2: banned maps only work for the standard battle type in random battles; it does not apply to encounter and assault game modes.

3: as mentioned above, only the platoon leader's banned maps count for the platoon.

Example: you have Mines banned. Mines is a map that appears for all tiers. So at tiers 1-3, it will show up regardless of banned status. If the matchmaking decided to roll Mines Encounter for your battle, then it will appear regardless of banned status.

I think they do read maps as they visit the same places looking for things they like. A lot of maps may appear to have connections, but they just don't seem to get the bans to work. I think it must be because of assault like people say. They can't cope with an assault of different maps.

I think it's more that we always encounter the same issues in this place, and with every issue you can draw a map of how the conversation goes.
