Hello everybody.

I am writing to express my personal opinion that tier 9 and 10 games are stressful.

About 2 years ago I grinded the french heavy line I remember having fun up to tier 6, then to tier 8 it was alright, but when I go to tier 10 the pressure was so high it felt like a second job playing the game, so I gave up playing that tank.

Recently I've been playing and enjoying tier 6-8 light and med tanks. I unwillingly got enough research points for the tier 9 Leopard and the smallest mistake I make in that tank I end up loosing half of my hp on avg. Because I don't have 6th sense, I presume I'm not spotted but surprise. So I either play suuper caucious and not do much or end up getting raped, neither of witch are fun.

I am sure as hell not going to grind that tank till I get 6th sense to then experience the pleasure of loosing money even if you win.

So I will stick to tier 6 games mostly as they seem a bit more relaxed.

I am curious how other players are feeling about this.

Thank you all

Some people thrive on stress, (until they get hypertension etc)

If you want fun stop at tier 8

Tier 6 and 7 are even better

All the nutters are at 9 and 10 (or nearly all of them)

Tier X have always been like that. Tier 9 way better and more fun. Personally I like tier 7 the most. But tier 9 works too.

Well then, stick to what you enjoy. Tier 10 meta is pretty ebola at the moment so i cant advise getting into tier 10 gameplay if youre not already invested in it.

The matchmaking is bad, the tanks you face are annoying and i sometimes wonder why am i even playing tier 10 randoms, particularly when i get triple arty games on open maps.

Tier 8 is probably the sweet spot for the average player right now.

I feel tier 9 is just terrible now. Nearly every game is tier 10 anyway and you never meet tier 7 tanks anymore.

Frankly, tier 10 feels better than tier 9.

EDIT: Tier 8 is nice because WG tuned MM so that tier 8 premiums have easier time.

You don't have 6th sense by the time you get to tier 9?

So true. Tiers 7 and 9 were the best tiers to play, now I prefer to play 8 and 10.

I think T10 is a cesspit best to be avoided.
The
Other tiers are rather fine though (T6-T9

Thats a bad idea in general, the higher you go in tiers , the best crew you must have in order to perform.

Playing tier 9s with 1 skilled crews is a suicide.

Do you not have any of the free sixsence directives?

You better train new crew in the lower tiers.

And if you have a commander without 6th sense you can always use the 6th sense directive. We get plenty of them while playing the game, or pay 6 bonds for it.

This.

I don't go into tier 6 without it if I can help it

I find it fun, even on non-meta tanks.

Use the sixth sense directive every battle until you get the Commander up to speed with sixth sense. I'm fast realising that any tank without 6th sense is just asking for it.

After reading your post the problem you are having is 2 things.

1. You mentioned recently unlocking and struggling with the T9 Leopard. Stock tanks are bad in generally, T9 stock tanks grinds are the longest, toughest grinds in the game, and the Leo is probably one of the worst stock grinds of them all since so much about that tank relies on it's mobility, evasiveness and gun handling attributes since it's more of a sniper/flanking ranged unit that can't afford to be caught out and gets punished heavily since it has no armor.

In stock, the Leo is pretty damn sluggish, can't evade and get around like it needs to, the stock gun is both meh and expensive to run if you actually need to reliably pen something which will therefore need some premium ammo and to add insult to injury, the gun handling is pretty bad until you get the second turret. To add even more insult to injury you need the upgraded tracks to mount the top turret along with the top gun etc unless you use a suspension equipment which means you then have to sacrifice an equipment slot so the tank is never as sharp as this delicate tank really needs to be until it is fully upgraded. Plenty of other T9 tanks can wing it just fine as stock like the 430 but the Leo, nope.

2. You mentioned your crew doesn't have 6th sense yet. Buddy, you don't play higher than tier3 without 6th sense and you sure as hell don't play a tank like the Leo without at least 6th sense, BIA(imo), camo and some decent inroads made in view range and repair skills. You're up against lots of experienced players with top tanks, epic crews and clan tanks... what were you thinking?

Overall, I would feel T9 is probably the best tier in the game followed by, in no particular order, T6 and T7, whichever tanks do it for you within those tiers, all good. Personally, and I know this might sound mad, I actually like T8 a lot too :hiding:

Have to say, I'm loving Tier 9 AMX30, PTA, 7/1, Standard B, T55A,

Fantastic rotation of tanks.

Low tiers are fun to play and relaxing.
Not too many tryhards and relaxed atmosphere without fear of loosing credits.
Idk why everyone think they have to play tier 10? It's not end-game content, game have no end.

Goal is to have fun while shooting tanks and trying to win battle or so something good.

If you can be positive or neutral with cresit income and you have fun - do it.

I love low tiers sometimes. I usually enjoy tier 8 prems (rev, t92, skorpion, m41 90mm etc) and tier 9 tanks mostly, as i feel tier 9 have best balance in the game, not too many OP tanks, everyone can be penetrated.

Tier 10 sometimes when i am with friends.

But i find low tiers super fun for playing and don't understand why people rush to get all high tier tanks and don't keep tier 5-6-7 in the garage.

Oh I didn't think of that. And idk what directives are, I'll go see when I have time.

Thanks

Yes thank you. I will try and get 6th sense in lower tier and transfer crew as said above.

Thanks

If you have credits or tanks you can sell that you don't use you can also purchase a crew training book will take you up beyond 6th sense and probably most of the second skill too if your crew is already close on a first skill.
