Will there be an article on the home page about the treacherous attack of the Soviet Union on Poland, on the 80th anniversary of this event?

This is a topic that should be written so that younger players get to know the story and know what the Soviet Union was.

Dude, they edited it out of the description of the polish tanks ... what do you think ?

Fun fact, the tank Pudel (polish t6 premium), exists because of the Warsaw Uprising, which the soviet armies purposely allowed the SS to quell before they moved in, to do their dirty work for them. :)

Unfortunately the Old Soviet Union, along with the Nazis seem to be remembered with somewhat rose tinted glasses. It always surprises me the number of Right and Left Wing extremists they have in eastern european countries that, frankly, should know better.

Some of those were from the nomenklatura of those systems, so they have a vested interest in the rose tinted glasses.

Interresting. So at first they believed it was to help them against the germans ... wicked times.

I was thinking more of the knuckle-dragger hangers-on, but you make a valid point - follow the money.

I am sure that the likes of Nigel Farage had our best interests at heart and not his own when he started his hate foreigners brexit campaign.

it's also far more convenient and there is the curious notion that we might not even be talking about the crimes of the nazis as well if the germans wouldn't accept such a disccussion,

after all the crimes of the soviet union aren't the only ones that are conveniently overlooked.

There is for example a certain belgian King and a certain country named Kongo..

Or obviously what the japanese did.. or the chinese komunist parties crimes... and we could just go on with the list.

WG will not develop this topic as I think. Most players from Russia, it is not profitable for them to cover the truth, donates will fall.

It's a gaming forum and forums have rules....perhaps try reading them. http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/forum-1467/announcement-124-forum-rules/

Historical memories differ from country to country as they preach their own 'rightful' view of past events.

long story short, people are here to enjoy themselves and not talk about ugly stuff. it's not good for buisness and it's actually also not very good for the getting along in the present as well.

as someone propably once said: one should learn from history not be tied down by it.

Hello guys,

We do understand that you are passionate about history and would like to discuss historical events but some parts of the history discussions are not appropriate for a game forum so please remember that this is a forum for a game and post accordingly. Also, please bear in mind that forum rules still apply and we expect you guys to follow those rules.

Please avoid going into the grey areas and the "no-no zones" so we wouldn't have to close the topic. :great:

P.S: By the way, this case was mentioned in our Polish article.

Now Now - with warnings issued and posts blanked out it is clear that this something they are not comfortable with, even in "off topic".
