Classic mode

So with all the different game modes, missions etc. why not simply add classic mode as well. No arty, max 2 light tanks, max 4 TD, no directives. Otherwise play like standard random.

 

And if WG think it would cost them money, make it a premium mode only. Who would lose?

Pretty much everyone.  The more game modes there are the fewer players there are in the queue for each of those modes, so the longer you need to wait for a battle.

Classic mode and no arty kinda exclude each other.

There was a Classic Mode introduced by WG as a special in March - it was version 0.7.0

Sorry OP but any 'Classic' mode would have arty in it as SPG's have been in the game since the beginning

Classic mode- when 3 arty aren't enough.

 

Edit: didn't you play 0.7 classic when it was out? The fun and Joy of joining 14 261s in an is-4! Vs team mostly consisting of chaffees and other arties. Such dynamicism, much wow.

Just forgot it...

Anything reworked by WG will make hell out of it, just like FL now. When it came first time, it was "once and for all", it was an event!! A marathon! 

And now? You must play every single week in each month to get the last prize, considering that some events or marathons will start right after it ends.

I'm not complaining about it, but i mean, if something comes for one time and end, it will be muuuch better and it'll have more joy time.

If WG try to rework these modes, then get ready for a new boring "re-designed" event. :)

It's simple, just re-introduce version 0.8.11, put Port back in, and limit it to 2 SPG's per game MAX.

 

This removes almost all the 'Broken' or 'OP' tanks like the Type 5 (before the nerf), Bobject 268v4, Defender etc, removes premium ammo for credits to reduce '2' key spam, gets us the better version of the maps back and with more maps overall, removes the horrible stun mechanic, and re-introduces the genuine weakspots that the HD update removed.

 

About the only thing of note missing is marks of excellence tbh, and I'd happily trade in the fancy new graphics and additional tank lines in exchange for improved gameplay, more balanced tanks, better maps and variety of maps, and an MM system that doesn't punish platoons, or where you spend most of your time as bottom tier overall whilst having virtually no variety in the tanks you face as the MM tries to mirror tanks where possible...

Roll back to 8.6 and remove artillery. That game mode i would play all day every day.

Not if you make classic mode as 0.8.6, when arty was nerfed to the ground and  dispersion was much tighter to the middle and the camo meta was still a thing

The fiddles with shot dispersion was one of those decisions I would like to get reverted...

I mean the 'normal' shot distribution.
