This is not a guide for now, just a question. I hope someone guides us. Is there a list of teams somewhere or a place where you can apply?

There are only 3 teams, and you should get an option to pick once you get to the race menu. Accessible via the promotion behind your tank, or by selecting one of the 3 race tanks and clicking on the gold icon that appears between the race flags.

You had until 4am to pick a team, although it was apparently advertised as if you had all day today.

I too thought we had the entire monday to register. I was too busy to play on sunday, but figured I'd do it monday :/

I don't understand why registration needs to close when the races start though. It's not like the teams are balanced right now.

Exactly, so why would they leave voting open so people could see who is leading and then all jump on that team, giving it an unassailable position?

That would be why joining a team had to be done before hand.

That's unfortunate. I asked at the general chat and I also asked my clan and no one at the time seemed to be sure how to register a team or whether we had joined/registered a team as a clan.

Right now, as BalcOra suggested, you can join a random team. I am too lazy to check how it may differ if you are not in a registered team but I expect you will lose out on something.

On a tangent, can you auto-lock on enemy team tanks? Somehow some enemy players seem good at shooting me on the race track, which made me feel as if they were auto-locking.

Yes; they improved the auto-aim a bit for these tanks. For most of my races yesterday I just locked on to an enemy tank, kept the firing button pressed constantly and then focussed my attention on the driving instead. It worked quite well with the T50 and the Leopard. :justwait:

Use your normal autoaim button but it works a lot better than the regular one or even the wheely lock on.  And it leads your shots.

Yes as others have mentioned, it's the same as on the wheels. You just snap close to a target to lock on it. There should be a crosshair on one of the racers to indicate who you have targeted. Pick the T-50 as it's easiest to handle, and has a low alpha but super high ROF gun and just hold down the button on bridges and near the red lowered areas. If you have the closest one targeted you should get a few shots connected while focusing on the driving. Leo has great burst damage, but you need to time it right to get the most out of it ofc.

I didn't know how to start the race either. Was a simple reason why - I had no race tanks showing up in the garage. Just had to wait till they turned up which was quite some time after it started.
