Going out in the open in any tier 8+ match is suicide thanks to the camping meta, HE + gold spam and of course our arty playing friends.

But I don't have the CDA so maybe this one is the exception to the rule...

Good camo, mobility and APCR as default ammo, and it has some armor at least, compared to Kanonenjagdpanzer.

 

But it's kind of useless in high tier MM against swarms of light and wheeled vehicles and against the magical armor of Russian tanks.

Skorpion G at least have a turret, which means it is versile in its operation functions.

The SU-130 has its alpha, but isn't quite on par with the Skorpion.

Then there are the Kannonen Jadgpanzer, which I haven't used, but I did see people use it in shotgun mode in late battle if they have the HP left for it.

 

All this one has is camo, just look at what Cobra6 wrote.

 

If you want the playstyle that this one use, then I rather have the Strv S1.

This is one of the best tier VIII TDs of the game (maybe the best) ... BUT, it needs a good player to handle it ...

 

Top acceleration with good speed.

Top accuracy with very good penetration.

Top maneuverability (while running) ... and very good camo values.

One of the best Credits and XP makers.

 

... but still ... not for all players.

 

No armor at all, especially for HE shells ... it is one of the few tanks that can be killed with one shot by arties.

Very narrow gun side-movement, the gun is almost fixed at the hull and you have to turn the tank for almost every shot ...

 

... and for some ridiculous reasons, it can penetrates the armor of a Maus with normal shells ... but, it cannot penetrates the armor of LTTB and LT-432 even with premium shells.

All depends on you really its a high camo none turreted TD

The base camo values of the E25 Kanonenjagdpanzer and the CDA are pretty close 25, 23 and 21 respectively

Its the slowest of the 3 but can still get around comfortably and has the best power to weight of the 3.

Its also got some armour 100mm may not me much but it gives the chance of a few bounces.

 

E25 is more fun Kanonen 105 has the better pen CDA is in third place imo

IMO, it`s better than Kanonen but it is not the easiest ever vehicle to play. 

 

Its greatest weakness hands down is the lack of turret - if you can play with turretless tanks then it`s pretty OK, but if you can`t then odds are you won`t enjoy it that much. Also, it has rather narrow arc of fire - but thanks to some of its aspects it can easily do what it is expected to do, that is to take good position, fire and retreat/reposition if needed. 

Let`s get to the positives:
It is pretty mobile. 

It has pretty good camouflage value. 

It has OK alpha with fast APCR shells and good penetration. 

It has decent aiming time and accuracy. 

It has little armor, but sometimes, thanks to angle of the frontal plate it can bounce off shells of smaller calibers. 

Important: it has good crew layout if you are interested in training the crews of the high tier French TDs. 

 

All in all, it`s a pretty OK machine.

Yeah, Kanonen is really something you should compare other T8 TD's with. I also like to compare my T6 TD's with Churchill GC and my Tier 4 mediums with M3 Lee...

Just a question - can you name a worse T8 TD than Kanonen? Out of curiosity...

So you have this tank and you have problems when you hited by HE shells ?? Best td game , skorpion G , su 130 , wz120 salute you . Need good players to play it , you consider that you are good player ? Few questions .

If I were to go for a TD, it would be a TD with armor, which this one does not have, or one with a turret. So it is basically like the Kanonenpanzer 105. Insta-deleted when detected, unable to brawl. Playing TD's at lower tiers might be fun, but not at tier 8 or higher. I never got the Kanonenpanzer 105 to work for me, thankfully it was only a rental vehicle.

It looks ok on paper but when you fully aim a shot and it goes anywhere but where you aim, especially when you have used that awesome speed to get somewhere, only to lose any advantage you had, yes it is comparable to the French TD.

I personally like the KanJp 105. Good mobility, camo, penetration and excellent shell speed.

Of course - once spotted it can be good-night, just try to remain hidden

 

56% W/R and 1660 WN8 for a mediocre player (~150 games)
