Hi tankers, i need some help in picking a medium line. I want to get up to tier 7 and the following are my handicaps and wishes:

  • i suck at mediums so noob proof;
  • i prefer mobility over armor;
  • i prefer rof over alpha;
  • i don't like derps;
  • i am not a brawler;
  • i prefer acurate guns / sniping.

Kind of like the Panther and Strv. lines sofar. Thinking about getting the T-34-1.

Any suggestions?

STB-1, Obj 140, leopard 1 for tier 10.

And tier 7, panzer, or T 20.

Vk30.01D, German Cromwell, really nice. Vk30.02M aka Manther, Panther play style but at tier 6. Not sure if they could be considered noob proof, first medium that comes to mind as noob proof is T34-85M. Another gem at tier 6 is the A-43 with 57mm gun, pure flanker, not really a sniper. A tank that is truly fun to play (edit: and has plenty of RoF ;) ).

Panther at T7 is nice, very good pen for its tier. I 3 Marked mine.

Personally I don't feel T7 Meds are all that good. Only at T8 and T9 does it start to get interesting.

Prems such as the T-44 100 and Progetto are excellent at T8. Other stuff like the Revolorise (French 105mm Sherman), Lorraine 40t and Primo Victoria aren't bad. At T9 almost all tech tree Meds are viable but special mention to the Standard B, Skoda, E50.

Once you're ready there is a lot to learn and enjoy with a good T8 Med Prem.

Love the M but suck in Panther. Tried some battles in A-43 and those where fun. Sucked big time in T 34 85.

Maybe tier 6 should be my goal?

I've never heard someone recommend the A-43 before. Is that the same 57mm gun as in the T-28 a full two tiers lower?

Get the T-34 first. Work your way up to the T-34-85.

Get the T-34-85M when it becomes available. Possibly the Rudy for the BIA crew. Use them both to train your crew.

You can play the T-34-85 with net & binocs if you want to snipe.

I unlocked the 30.02 D and liked the .01 D. Interesting suggestion.

I love to play lights so the A-43 felt quite like home. Gun is viable. I really, really suck in both T 34 and T 34 85, trust me...

All t7 mediums by default are garbage(bad overall stats) t9 meds like leo pta and standard b are super good fun capable flexible machines ,avoid t10 mm it's hell with t9 you can fight plenty of other balanced t9 tanks+the occasional t8s  .

Don't get the Rudy...

T-34 85M crew fits higher tier RU Meds and Rudy doesn't. Both are essentially the same tank so wait for the pure Russian one.

Sounds to me like you want a Chi-Ri.

The T-34-1 is pretty much the opposite of what you want.

I've recommended the A-43 before, and pretty much everyone I know that played that tank, loved it. The 57mm gun is a killer that actually has good gun handling, something that the Cromwell really lacks. It also has better dpm and shell velocity. Cromwell has better gun depression, top speed, (AP) penetration and alpha, but I liked the A-43 package more, just so much fun. :)

But OP, if you don't like to flank around and rather snipe, this thing is probably not what you're looking for.

Played a dozen or so battles in it and liked it very much. For me it felt more balanced then the Cromwell. No surprise there because Cromwell only obeys good players..

its the exact opposite, rudy has the same crew layout as all high tier russkie meds have, t34-85m crew layout only fits to one tank and thats T-54.

?

T-54 has the same crew slots as the Tier 10s (and the Rudy - except for the dog).

You can't have a noob proof tank without armor.

Anyway,get the kv 13 and use whatever gun you like,it's very forgiving.
