I turned on platoon invites in battle a couple of days ago for the first time. I see the invites in the garage after the battle. Is one supposed to see the invite during the battle? What does it look like?

A golden plus symbol appears on the team listing next to the tank, and there should be a line of text in the chat area.

On the team list on your left, there should be a golden platoon icon with a + on it on one of the other 14 names. If there is, that means he did invite you. If he did invite multiple, it goes away if he gets 2 to accept it before you do. And turns into a normal silver platoon icon.

 

There is a rather low sound to indicate it. Kinda like the radio sound when you lose a friendly, just shorter and high pitched. And a message above the damaged panel in the golden platoon color.

And sometimes you click the + and nothing happens. Then it pops up again from the same guy and you click it again, just to be teamed up with some other guy.

I think the invite frequency is about the same as always but are there any actual platoon missions to do nowadays or does it come from the belief that the premium bonus will count?

And a voice message saying your assistance has been requested or something.

 

They seem to be still quite regular, I have no idea why.  I always thought it was people trying to do platoon missions but those are long gone now.

I think some people might be under the assumption that those dynamic platoons will give you more exp/credit in the battle.

I accept sometimes when I and the one sending invite has 3+ kills to help them farm medals. Doesn't hurt me and maybe makes someone happy so why not?

 

I also accept and send when there's weekly missions that has to do with platooning but it's been a while since the last one. I do accept even if i've finished it myself.

In the past I've even played a couple of games with random people so the function has some use.

Thanks so much Bordhaw for that link! I have heard that Die Unterstützung würde ungefördert a couple of times, and something equivalent in French and Russian, but never paid attention. I thought it was just something from the recent update, another thing to say at the beginning of the battle like "let the show begin" or whatever. At least now I understand what to look/listen for.

 

Presumably if the dynamic platoon goes again into battle as a platoon in subsequent battles, you get extra experience and credits then?

Yes, any platoon created prior to pressing battle gives you some bonus credits and exp (compensation for slightly less battles/hour due to inability to leave battle and start over until all platoon members are dead)

If everyone doesn't just leave immediately the battle finishes.

 

If you really want to platoon then there's the forumites chat, WG discord, or join a clan.
