Is it just me or is the XP bonuses we get nowadays getting out of hand?

 

I thought I'd try and see how many games it would take for me to unlock the 277. I had 80K XP when I started, 12 games later, the 277 was unlocked.. 

 

One game I got 20K xp from x2 from daily double, 3x from premium account, 2x from personal bonuses, x5 from the racing thingy and x5 from the twicth care pack. so a grand total of x17 for ONE game. holy fak.

 

Bonuses are nice, in particular when you grind terrible tanks, but this is getting silly. If this keep up, higher tiers will get flooded even more "not so good" and unexperienced players.

I like those bonuses, it allows players like me to get through the tiers faster.

I'm thankful for the xp bonuses. The less I play this toxic-nutjob-filled game, the calmer I am.

 

I like the game, I really do...but the players...different topic.

Fast progression is fine, it also helps when grinding stock tanks or tanks that are crap even when upgraded.

These complaints that "we get too much stuff" always make me frown, especially when it's good players that make them.

If its me you refer to being "good", then not really. 75% of the time I play like crap, and I know it, 15% mediocre, 5% good games and the last 5% is just luck. 

 

But my point still stands. I get we cant all be "equally" good, but there is a difference between knowing the fundamentals of the game, and just being bad in applying said fundamentals, and just being plain ignorant because you got pretty much no clue how the game works. apart from pressing the ASWD keys and left mouse botton.

I agree with OP its getting silly. But as you say its nice when one is grinding "bad" tanks.

I think WG is doing this to lure in new players that thinks the end game is getting to T10. The problem with that is that they dont learn how the mechanics work and the only thing they are good for when they get a T10 tank are meat shields or to free farm some damage for your self.

Took me 43 games to get the Bobject using the 263, just used the x3s from the premium account. Didn't even bother with boosters, which presumably could have cut it down to sub 30 games. 

 

Its pretty easy to grind these days, probably too easy and yes its is probably why higher tiers is flooded with bad players because they have not spent time learning the tanks at lower tiers.

 

What is funny is that over the last two years WG has been changing tanks around, buffing tanks, etc. so that the tier 8-10 tanks all have the same playstyle so people learn that as they go up, but they have made XP grinding so easy that people probably now spend as less games going through the tier 8 and 9, as they used to take just to get through the tier 8.

Less grinding means more time actually playing the tank I want to play instead of working to get there...

How many blueprints did you have on 277 that reduced the needed XP to unlock it?

I currently play the BC12t with the intention to unlock all the tier 9s tracing from it - without BPs that's an almost  600k grind, thanks to BPs I "only" need ~450k. Will take me more than 12 battles. Currently I am at 96 battles and ~50k (after all modules unlocked) - I expect to play this tank maybe another 300 battles...

57.7% average winrate is blue winrate and something the vast majority of us can only dream of, if that is not "good" I don't know what is.

Far to many lines break off into two or more lines to get higher, this needs t stop, so now we have something to help us someone goes crying about it, ffs

Stock grinds in terrible tanks and bad crews is the main problem imo. Not a big deal that you have to grind 250K xp on a fully upgraded tank. But having to grind close to a 100K xp in a stock tier 9 BEFORE its fully upgraded is really stupid.  In essence you not only have a +2 MM spread, but a stock tier 7 vs a fully upgraded tier 9 is just not fair, and makes the MM even worse. What is a stock tiger 1 going to do vs a obj 257? But thats a different topic.
