I found the below in the forums (an old post) but my question is - is there any indication that the Jack of all Trades has kicked in when a crew member is down?

Many thanks

Reload time comes to mind.

Now that's a skill that lost a whole lot of value with rechargeable consumables.

You mean if it's the loader that's down? Yeah that should help. I used to revive my radio guy in belief that I lost the brothers in arms boost...but I've learnt that's not the case. :hiding:

If the radioman has the situational awareness skill, you will lose on view range though. And I believe in a batchat or amx 50-100 you will also have a longer reload time.

That's true, and it's active again in a minute so heal away. Oh and there's always some stun to remove to make it feel more worth. Thanks, stun mechanic.

So, there is no real alert / visual display to show that the commander has taken over another task?

Good morning my friend. :)

Unfortunately there is no visual indication that the skill kicked in but it's visible from the aiming circle, the DPM, the mobility of the tank, etc. As Jackobsson wrote above, it's a skill from the era of single use consumables. With the reusable first aid kit, you can revive a crew member multiple times during the battle. It's still of value during the cool down of the first aid kit or if you're driving a fragile tank like the BC or the french lights.

Here is a nice video from that era, when Anfield still played this game. :)

Not sure it was ever all that valuable to begin with on an already skill-laden crew role.

Do you have a definitive source for that BIA statement? I've seen an experienced player post the exact opposite, I wouldn't mind something more solid.

Actually, I noticed reload time change after reviving other crew member. Considering it was in the order of half a second, I guess BiA really get set to off if one orbmore crew member get knocked out...

All I'm going on is not noticing a difference on the reload. But you are giving me doubts so an investigation would be nice. Not by me though since I'm biased in this case.

Spoiler

The first tank I had it on was the Lowe/E75 crew. And anyone who owns a Lowe knows how slow that is with a dead driver. Jack of all trades you notice a huge difference when the driver gets knocked out once you max the skill. But no, there is no notification. It just works when one of your crews besides the commander gets knocked out.

Tho keep in mind he has 50% to give out when you maxed the skill. If you have two crews out, it's 25% to each. And you notice less of a performance boost.

Had a 7,1 reload with or without a BiA driver so I am going to continue with the assumption that it doesn't matter. :P
