Just a heads up for anyone out there interested in grinding the french heavy line.

Granted i've not unlocked the top gun,played it with the 100mm but i don't think the bigger gun is that much better or compensates for this tank's weaknesses.

You will never reach the top speed advertised,unless you're going downhill himmelsdorf i guess.

The real speed is in the mid 20's most of the time,extremely slow basically.

The upgraded turret is worse than the stock one armor wise,you gain a little bit more viewrange but it's not really not an upgrade,the stock one is way bouncier.

Basically it's a free xp sink.

I sold mine after 3 games and gonna gather blueprints to skip it.

You shouldn't have sold it though. You could've waited till the Christmas bonuses, went full turbo mode with reserves and premium account or played it in FL. It's not a good tank or a joy to play but the grind is worth the good tier 9 after it.

Not the greatest T8 heavy I've played. The 400 alpha gun is still kinda nice though.

Protip: Put the ugliest camo you have available on it. Combined with the tank's own ugliness, it somehow made enemies look away from me a lot, making it easier for me to shoot them.

BEST TANK EVER. It has the best features of other great tanks: speed of Maus, aiming time of CGC, armor of Skorpion. Also unique feature of developing mental illness in player who decides to grind it.

It's why most did grind it with a stock turret. As it's basically the premium HT turret, and thus a smaller target. I bounced way more with that one vs the elite one due to the cheecks. Top one lasted for about 5 fights full of holes before I tossed it out. And yeah the top gun is way worse. At least it was for my style.

 

People have been calling out the turret as bad from day one, It should have been the stock one tbh.

Oh God that was awful tank, and somehow I did it with 60% wr and having 1k average dmg, idk how.. Then got tier 9 and everybody said its great, and it was, and I did good in it, but the teams.. Have 35-ish % wr and I just gave up

While its awful, its not THAT bad. just dont be aggressive and you should be fine.

Yeah i am  struggling with this tank too. I use stock turret which has better gun depression and armor than uppgraded one (Pretty weird. Still worst t8 heavy in game imo.
