Caernarvon tank

The armour on the hull should be identical to Conqueror, in fact I gather when they had the Conqueror turret developed they converted them into full conqueror gun tanks.
Im not sure its really a tank with a place. For one think there was a very similar tank listed in the tech tree with a centurion and Turret and Conqueror running gear. I forget the name of it, but it was rolled out as an infantry support tank prototype in the late 40s. A45?
Might make more sense as a premium tank.

Think this tank was named after the lord, not the place... http://ancienthistor...g/Carnarvon.htm

im concerned about the big bit of canvas around the gun mantle of several British tanks becoming big weakspots holes, yes i know they have armour under it............but do TrollGamming?.....and will they care? http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/public/style_emoticons/default/Smile_ohmy.gif http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/public/style_emoticons/default/Smile-hiding.gif

They know more about tanks then 99.999% of posters on this board.
I'd point out that it all depends on which field. They sure as hell know more than me about Russian/French tanks. About the same on German tanks. British tanks on the other hand, I suspect I win that one.

Can't wait for the british tree, but from what a lot of the tanks look like the lower plate is going to be a pretty big weakspot in quite a lot of these tanks, just like in the german tree. Hope it isn't too bad, because otherwise the armour looks pretty good.

alot of people said it was the centurion but i wasnt convicned with the way the running gear is laid out and the rear looks very conqueror'ish and this has proved me right but for some reason it never dawned on me that i was the caernarvon and being welsh i am ashamed

Well to be fair, this will be the most common angle we'll see it at when playing.

this man has a point, it will most likely have the 20 lber, i dont think the L7 was ever fitted to it. but im only going by what wiki says.

Its a bit of an odd choice though. When you get down to it, unless they have some exotic gun to bolt onto Conqueror, the stock Conqueror I would have expected to have had the Centurion turret and 20 pounder. They may have been better of having A45 and starting with a Cent mk1 turret, upgradeable to a mk3 with 20pounder.
Not that Im complaining you understand. I rather like Caernavon.

It was only a barrel swap on some guns, so imagining a 105 equipped Caernavon is not impossible.

thats true. it would make sense putting the L7 on it otherwise the 20 pounder isnt going to cut it.
question is, what is this 130mm gun the FV215 has? i couldnt find any info regarding it

No ive not heard of it. FV215B had an 180mm, so unless its a typo I suspect it may be a vapourware gun.

There was a series of larger calibre ATG's developed by the British, the biggest being 140mm. But this was ~80's, so waaaay outside the game.
