The dog tags were not pointless or even that annoying they were fun and allowed a little customisation.
I do remember one player complaining that the dog tag image prevented him seeing where he had been shot.
You have a black and burned out dead tank and you want to examine the corpse to see where you were shot, really ?
It is about time wargaming added their own version of battlehits to the game that mod is so useful to check where your and the enemies shots went.
I was all set to use in HESH we trust when in my FV4005 and maybe pure gold when in one of my tanks that uses premium a fair bit.
There were also a number of national icons and slogans players could use depending where they are from.
As I said bit of fun personalisation and given you only see it after you are dead who honestly cares, they could slo have made them so if you didn't want to see them you didn't have to.
as for the event ending and some players unsure when they had to spend their tickets.
I do not consider myself unobservant and I have loads of free time I am on the forum and in game most days sometimes several times a day.
I did not notice the cut off date or the details of how to buy the commanders.
You tend to read these things on the day they are first posted and not afterwards, so if you miss it or the details are alteret updated or you just plain forget its tough.
I was lucky and noticed a comment on the forum.
So many events running at the same time its hard to keep track of them all and the various start end dates.
