I appear to have found a work around. I'm launching the game direct using the win64.exe file and so far no crashes.

Back in the good old days circa 1995 I had to boot my state of the art Pentium off a DOS floppy to play games.  Nothing changes.

Lol, those were the days. I remember spending many happy hours breaking my DX2 66 trying to get more base memory by editing the autoexec.bat and config.sys files in DOS.

I remember those as well as happy times as well, yet now I look back with some irritation as these elementary experiments gave me a basic understanding of computers that keeps getting me bombarded as "the IT guy" at work. I didn't study philosophy so I could help random colleagues every time their computer does something unexpected.

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
